I have a folder in my library folder called "Add music through here" With some weird characters at the beginning to keep it at the top of the list. I drag all my music in the there and let songbird rearrange it for me. Works like a charm!

What happened to me was the fold that songbird put music into changed to c:/blah/blah/bla/Erik/Music/Songbird Music so I had all the music from my music folder importing AND moving into that folder, which gave me the duplicates. So double check that – Erik, on August 05, 2009 17:56

The same thing has happened to me. I tried your approach, and now I have 1 more duplicate of every song than I did before.

I've tried everything I can think of, and I can't clear the browsing history.

No mater what I do I can't clear firefox's history. I've done ctrl+shift+del, checked every box, nothing. I've tried highlighting every thing in the history sidebar and pressing the delete key and right clicking and hitting delete, nothing. I tried both of those in safe mode, nothing. What do I need to fix so this works????

Advanced search functions I think would be a great way to do it. That way (like with dj's who collaborate a lot) you could have it show all of the tracks that they've been involved in creating.

Integration with Release Add-on would just make things amazing :)

Ever have a favorite band and want explore more music of from them that you haven't heard? I think someone should make an add-on that can make a checklist of releases from an artist, and check off what albums/songs you have from them and what you don't. This would be a great add-on for music collection enthusiasts.

EDIT: Could include live releases also!

It would be wrong to assume that tracks without an albumName belong to an 'unknown album'.

Lots of tracks nowadays, are not part of any album!

Same thing happens here. When ever a something changes in the watch folder, it seems to do everything correctly, then the error pops up.
