Erin started following the problem "pownce is down right now, seriously... fix it! my export file is being held ransom due to incompetence, dammit." in Pownce.
Erin reported a problem in Pownce on December 08, 2008 18:57:
Posts disappearing again.I know Pownce is closing soon, but it'd be nice to have all of my posts still working in the meantime. As someone else said, it's as though the little Dutch boy took his finger out of the dam, and we're losing posts and replies. Again.
Not to mention, I get email notifications of replies, so I know they're there. They just don't show up.

Erin marked one of Ariel Waldman's replies in Pownce as useful. Ariel Waldman replied to the question "Is there a way to report spam?".

Erin asked a question in Pownce on November 17, 2008 16:26:
Is there a way to report spam?Pownce is getting a bit more popular. It makes me happy, but unfortunately...the more popular Pownce gets, the more likely spammers are to invade.
I haven't seen any system in place thus far for reporting spammers. The most popular ones tend to be the ones with "hot girl" avatars, who post nothing but spam links. Today, however, I got a piece of spam from someone who didn't even try to add me. My assumption is that someone has built a bot to scan the public timeline and post replies to every single post that appears.
The user in question:
http://pownce.com/silvacido/
I was just wondering if there were any plans in place to add in spam protection? It's not insanely necessary; it's just a bit of a bother when I get these friend requests from obvious spammers, and it's even worse when one of them just plain spams my comments.
Thanks! :)

I'll wait, but some are showing up.
However, it still stands to be said, a complete lack of transparency for users is not the way to run a social network, especially if you want it to survive. – Erin, on November 16, 2008 19:30

Awesome. Good to know attention is being paid. It's totally not weird at all that no one else on her friends list has posted since yesterday. Not at all. – Erin, on November 16, 2008 17:17

Email might be best, but they typically check this, too. I've gotten more response from them over this sometimes than over email.
We can try email. What is it, bugs@pownce.com? I don't remember... – Erin, on November 16, 2008 16:50

If it was a really good party, maybe not. Sugar coma. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about the sugar coma, but still... – Erin, on November 16, 2008 15:50

Understood, I saw Kevin tweeting about it (had a feeling when he mentioned overhearing something about "cupcakes and alcohol")...but...I still think it would have been nice to even get a little bit of, "We know" even from the team. – Erin, on November 16, 2008 15:36

Just because it's the weekend doesn't necessarily mean it's okay. Things have happened over the weekend before which generate a response.
I know it's not Twitter, but when things happen with that site, they get someone on it right away...or at least let us know that they know something's up. They haven't even let us know they're aware of it. – Erin, on November 16, 2008 15:24

It'd be hard to believe that they don't know what's up...after all, I know Daniel Burka posted a message earlier (yay, email notifications, I think). Chances are it's not going to show up now.
It'd be nice to hear something, though. A couple of weeks ago, they posted an update to the blog when the site was experiencing issues (oh, and a Tweet, too). It'd be nice if that happened again. Communication is awesome...after all, it's what the site was built for, yes?

Awesome. Glad to see I could help in some way! It definitely makes the site that much more usable. Thanks! – Erin, on November 07, 2008 19:06
