I know the idea had been thrown around with a couple friends that it should be on the person's page, but I'm glad you see it as a potential issue. It'd definitely make the site a lot easier to use!

I was wondering if there are any plans to build in a blocking option?

No, Pownce is not Twitter, but one of the things I like about Twitter is its ability to block someone directly from their userpage.

I, for example, have a user that requested friendship long ago. I decided to ignore the request and move on. The problem is, this user keeps adding comments, and I'd rather not hear from this person. I can't block him, though, until he requests friendship again.

Are there any plans in the works to add this?

By the way, I'm happy with the increased stability as of late. You guys have done a good job turning this around :)

Sorry, Ariel! I meant to delete this problem last night.

There is still a latency issue, but the notes are in fact deleting. I don't mind if it takes a few minutes, as long as they eventually go away. :)

Deleting notes?

I have attempted to delete a few notes from my profile. I got the "Are you sure...?" dialog and clicked "OK" to delete my messages.

I just checked my public timeline now, and these notes are still showing.

Does it take awhile to catch up, or is there some kind of bug preventing users from deleting notes?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Not trying to create enemies. The service is fantastic when it works, and I know you're working on it. But this is case in point, right here, above.

I'm all for adding that ability! :) Bigger issues come first, of course, but if, somewhere down the line, you're looking for something small to add, I think that'd be a great thing to have.

Custom themes? What's up with background images?

Is there a reason that custom backgrounds do not automatically start in the top left corner?

I spent a couple minutes today throwing together something I thought I wanted to use for my custom background, and when I uploaded the new image, it doesn't start where I would like it to start. I don't want to just keep guessing with my background and trying to get it to look how I'd actually like it to look.

I'd rather not search for something that tiles easily, because that takes all the fun out of creating something custom for my page. Earlier, I had resorted to just making one giant image (5000 x 5000), but again, that's kind of not worth it.

My image is the same size as a standard user's background (1800x1200). I'm just curious to know why it's not positioned where it should be on the page.

It's not just a "might." It's a "did happen." Just so you're aware. I saw links, private messages about someone's surgery that was going to happen, and pictures I didn't necessarily need to see.

It's not "might" at this point. I know I'm not the only one who saw the private notes.
