I have already talked to Brian, the main developer of "My Movies". He is glad to give open source communities like boxee access to his database. There will be two options:

1.) Users can install the media management software and start to catalogue their own movie library. This local database could then be accessed by boxee.

2.) There will be a option to have native access to the online database of "My Movies", which would not require any software to be installed. A "My Movies" user account would be sufficient. This looks similar to the "last.fm" integration, where you can setup your own last.fm user account within boxee.

I have and have used a lot of media players and managers. I used to switch around but i now just use Boxee. Boxee is the future. I will do my best to convert and indoctrinate all unbelievers.

A set top Boxee would conquer the world!
