Closing the Today window shouldn't "hide" Today.When I close the main window, Today's Dock icon dims as if the application was just hidden.

"Go to Today" keyboard equivalentI often find myself looking by a couple of days in Today, to get an idea of my schedule, and then I want to go back to the current day. However, when I press command-T as I would in iCal, Today doesn't do anything.
It already has a "Go to Today" menu item, it should just have command-T as a keyboard equivalent for it.
