Hi all,

My setup has been for several weeks now and its great. But maybe Skyhook-wireless should update the tutorial.
Maybe you guys should do a tutorial on howto find the correct MAC-adress? Because I discovered with help from Shane, that there is a difference between the MAC of router and the MAC of the WLAN and the LAN of the same router. If You get myh meaning!

Hi Ryan,
I have been emailing with a member of Your team named Sean.
I found out with help for him that the MAC adr I had to add was neither the router's MAC, WAN MAC, but the WLAN MAC. Sean added it for me, and said that You Guys update your db once a week.
Is it a specific day that you guys update? Then the correct MAC is in your db does the ipod touch automaticly connect to you db? Or do I need to do something more? change a setting or?

I am, but I fear its a setting my my routers. But I don't know. Net stumbler cannot find my "AP" eventhough I am connected wirelessly to the internet now.....My Ipod touch connects fine to the internet wirelessly as well.
Its only the "current" location feature which doesn't work.
Anyone have idears???

Do You know if they ignore MAC addresses from user outside the US? I live in Denmark, Europe, and as I wrote added my MAC-adr several times, but SKYhook have NOT added it, and they ignore all emails send to them... – Euroman27, on December 13, 2008 23:26

Over the last couple of months I have added my routers MAC-Adress to the SKYHOOK Wifi database, but as of 12/13/08 my MAC adr is still not in the SKYHOOK DATABASE.
So my question is the reason for this SKYhook has either stopped adding MAC-addresses to their database? Or is it simply that they doesn't admin MACs from us ordinary civilians who lives outside the United States??
