Make sure to check the CAPS on the password. I had this issue at first. generally, the first letter in any text-entry field is caps. – Kynmore, on July 29, 2008 17:02

I called Sprint and after three phone calls with them they finally got short codes to work for me.

Metro PCS is teh suck for not having short codes. Everyone else I know gets to Twitter but me! I tried logging on the website on my phone but it keeps telling me I have the wrong username and password combination, but when I use the same password and username on my home computer, it works just fine...

I tried all the combinations and I'still stuck at the activation process. When I send the message I don get a response... is that suppose to happen? how do i send sms from my phone to update my twitter status?

I've got a similar problem as well. Using AT&T wireless with an older nokia 6620. I get sms from google and other phones but twitter will not work. I get no response from the on command however I can post. I've deleted the phone and settings several times yet always get "We tried to send an SMS update to your phone but we couldn't reach you."

Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

For users of MetroPCS, make sure you have web-browser capability. You can use m.twitter.com pretty easily via the crap-tastic browser that Metro provides.

And please, email them and fill out the survey ont he site; demand short code be enabled!
