Hey folks,
Just to let you know, the community team here at Flock is continuing to push for getting these fixes into a new build. These bugs will not be fixed in Flock 2.5.5 because of limited development resources, unfortunately. But please keep posting here (and hitting the "I have this problem, too!" button) so that the folks upstairs can understand that this is an important issue to you.
Thanks for hanging in there,

Evan Hamilton replied on November 02, 2009 22:52 to the question "MYSPACE. Why wont it let me log in?" in Flock:
Hey Blake and Spawn,
Can you try the following steps?
1. Log out of MySpace
2. Open the Accounts&Services sidebar in Flock
3. "Forget" any MySpace accounts here
4. Go to Tools (also known as Preferences)
5. Go to the "Privacy" tab
6. Click "Show all cookies"
7. Delete any MySpace cookies
8. Restart your computer
Does that clear up the problem, or does it remain?

Evan Hamilton replied on November 02, 2009 22:50 to the question "Firefox plugin incompatibilities with Flock 2.5.x" in Flock:
Hey folks,
Most likely you're experiencing one of two problems here:
1) The plugin you're trying to install is designed for Firefox 2.x
-OR-
2) The plugin you're trying to install is designed for Firefox 3.5 and above
We don't do anything to change the plugin interface from Firefox, so Flock itself should be causing any extensions to malfunction. However, Flock 2.5.2 currently uses the Firefox 3.0.x codebase...so any extensions designed to work in Firefox 3.5 won't work in Flock.
Obviously this is not ideal, and will be remedied as soon as we move to the Firefox 3.5 codebase.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime,

Hey Patru,
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing crashes. It'll help us troubleshoot if you answer the questions I asked Karen:
1. What version of Flock did you download?
2. Did you already have Flock installed on your machine?
3. What operating system are you using?
4. Did you have any extensions installed in Flock?
5. Do you get any sort of error message when it crashes?
Thanks,

Hey ishmeme,
Thanks for the post!
As we're built off the same technology powering Firefox, things like hardware-compatibility are generally left to them. We try not to muck with the primary browser code and focus on our social features.
However, I will turn this thread into an "Idea" thread...if there is enough interest in this from other Flockstars, it's possible we'd look into doing it.
Thanks for the feedback!

Hey nikgare,
This issue is definitely high on our list of things we want to fix (and is plenty irritating for us too!). I can't confirm exactly when that'll happen, but I'm pushing to try to get this fixed in the next month or so. I'll let you all know what the result is.
Thanks for your patience,

Evan Hamilton replied on October 27, 2009 17:53 to the problem "A Browser that doesn't respect your preferences" in Flock:
Hey Davi,
I'm really sorry to see that we've upset you. The option to not make Flock your default browser is within the "Custom Install" section of the installer...which can be easy to miss.
However, once you've made another browser default, Flock should not become default again unless you instruct it to do so. If you'd like to spend the time, I'd be happy to troubleshoot with you to try to figure out why your copy is misbehaving. I'll understand if you're over it though. Please know that this is not the intended functionality of Flock - we respect browser choice.

Hey anuraag.neo,
We're keeping a close eye on Firefox 3.5 and any reported issues with it. When we feel the code is solid enough to upgrade our community to it, we'll do so. Keep your eye on http://www.flock.com/blog for more info.
Thanks!
