A comment on the question "Has support for identi.ca in twinkle been considered?" in Tapulous:
Good for you! Let us know when you're ready to try for identi.ca and Laconica. We've got operators standing by to take your call. Seriously, it's gonna be an easy port for you. – Evan Prodromou, on July 17, 2009 02:37

Great to see so much support. From our side, we'd love to see identi.ca support in Tweetie. Since we provide an almost identical copy of the Twitter API, most 3rd-party devs have had little problem porting to use our service.
Please let us know if you have any questions; we'd love to help with any effort to support our service.-

Supporting hashtags.org in LaconicaI'm Evan Prodromou. I'm lead developer of the Open Source microblogging platform Laconica. I'd like to integrate our software with hashtags. How can we push notices to hashtags.org? Ping? XMPP?

Evan Prodromou replied on February 19, 2009 19:29 to the problem "Not all group tags are being recognized." in StatusNet Inc.:
Hi, Christopher. If you're a member of the groups, the group name should be linked and the notice will be distributed to everyone subscribed to that group. In our upcoming release (0.7.2), the word will be linked even if you're not a member, but the notice will not be distributed to group subscribers.
As for the links in the above dents: clearly we're not matching on group tags with punctuation in front, like "/!linux", "(!debian". It takes us a while when we introduce new syntax to determine what's good to consider part of the syntax and what's not.
I've assigned a bug in our tracking system to the problem: http://laconi.ca/trac/ticket/1244 . We'll be looking at it more closely.
Thanks for the notice. In the immediate future, try to only use group tags with a space before.

Evan Prodromou replied on January 19, 2009 15:42 to the idea "Make it work on identica" in holzhauer.it:
Yes, if you insist on using the search API. But I'd be very happy to work on a new API -- one that took an URL and returned a list of messages that include that URL (even shortened).
We can support that much faster and more easily than the full search API. If you're willing to work with us, we can have it out next week.
