Hi Dav,
We *really* feel your pain on this. The current ticketing system was chosen in a moment of painful necessity. It's hard to think of a ticketing system that is less friendly to use.
We're working on replacing the current ticketing system with one that is less hostile for everyone who has to use it on a daily basis. I don't have a firm date for you, but like all things in the web 2.0 world, it's "any day now".
A comment on the question "Mod_rails support?" in Engine Yard Inc.:
Hi Justin,
We're keeping an Eye on mod_ruby but we're still not ready to move our stack over to it. We'll be doing some internal evaluations to see if supporting it is an option for us. – Randall Thomas, on November 18, 2008 18:24
A comment on the question "Mod_rails support?" in Engine Yard Inc.:
HI Sam,
Currently we've got many irons in the fire. Supporting mod_rails isn't currently at the top of the list as most of our current customer base is quite happy with nginx. (In short, as of now, it's pretty far down on the list :) ) We're keeping an eye on the project and might schedule it for inclusion into a future release of the stack. – Randall Thomas, on October 16, 2008 23:50

We're looking at a couple of different solutions, more memory being the low end. *No promises* but we might be able to have a 32bit VM with a 64bit kernel - would you be up for helping us test this if we can get it working?
Regards,

A comment on the question "Problems with your EY account?" in Engine Yard Inc.:
Hi Tom,
I certainly understand the blowing off steam concept. We really do take how happy you are with your slices and our service pretty seriously.
I just read through the ticket history on this one. I'm getting in touch with Mutwin and Chris (the engineers who did the bleak house/memory leak detection work on the slices) We're going to see if we can find a solution to the memory needs for your application. Can't hurt to try at least once more. We'll update the ticket when we come up with something.
Sorry to hear that you're frustrated.
Regards,

Delay in Staging Slice DeploymentEngineYard has a guy in Australia doing our deployment. I get email every night around 3am. Has taken a week so far for staging slice. Ugh.

We're constantly trying to make certain that our clients have exactly what they need _before_ they know they need it. In that regard, we spend a lot of time talking to and getting information from our clients at Engine Yard.
