A comment on the idea "Global Inbox for IMAP folders" in Postbox, Inc.:
You can do a save searched that matches all Messages from the selected folders. so you can show all messages from all your in-boxes even if they are read – MRJ, on December 09, 2009 05:13-

It's great to see that it's working for some people. It's still not working for me, with or without SSL. I've tried every port my server supports and none of them work.
I just wish for more response from Threadsy. It looked good when I first started the topic, but now not so much. I have heard nothing official in 2 weeks and only a second hand report 11 days ago.
I don't have time to keep trying to make it work with my email. I already have issues with an additional third party holding my mail, I don't want it to communicate insecurely. So I think It's time to stop trying to make Threadsy work and move on. Perhaps when Threadsy Matures more as a product I'll try it again.

Thanks for the response. I use IMAP for all my mail now so I know it works for my domains. My primary account is at mail.geekwithkids.com. it's hosted by skynethosting.net
I tried
IMAP I tried :
Port 993 with SSL On and off
Port 143 with SSL On and Off
For SMTP I tried
port 993 with SSL On and Off
port 465 with SSL on and off (this is what I use in my email client)
port 25 and 26 with SSL on and off.

Hopefully minor IMAP Issuesexcited about generic IMAP support, in theory but in practice It's failed for my accounts.
I've tried ever setting I can think of and it's still failing.
Do you support Miss Matched security certificates for SSL connection?
Also out of the 3 accounts I tried I managed to get the IMAP server authenticated but not the smtp server.
All the settings are used by my email client.-

It seems to support it, kinda...
I setup a Postbox on one workstation, configured my IMAP accounts and topics. I then transferred the profile to another workstation and the Topics come across, I'm just not sure the best method of adding additional Topics
I just wish they had a simple way to synchronize Topics, I tried to find the data in the SQLite files to see if I could rig a sync procedure, but could seem to do it reliably.-

How do I make sure that my Topics are the same on multiple workstation?I love post box and if I can get Topics to work reliablely on mutliple installs it will become my primary email client.
I'm using IMAP to access my email and Topics are saved to the server but it's not conistant, it seems that they need to be created locally and in the right order for them to map correctly.
Is there any way to manage the topics centrally? or an easy way to make sure all my installs of Postbox have the same topics

Portable version of PostboxI'm currently in the process of trying to get a handle on my email and when I found Postbox I think I found my solution. The only problem is I need to have access to my email in at least to locations?
I figure I could do this either by running the application off a usb key, like I've been doing with Thunderbird. Is there any plans for a Postable Version of PostBox? Or can I configure the current version to post to a location on my USB Key? I can use fixed drive letters as I'm only going to be running it on my home and work computers.
