Exodus asked a question in Songbird on October 06, 2008 17:24:
Avoid creating duplicates in library when adding playlistsIs there a way to add a previously created playlist without creating duplicates in the library. I had playlists created in WMP and was wanting to use them in Songbird, but when ever i import a playlist, it creates duplicates of all the songs in my library.

except if you do a search on google, it will no doubt lead back to all your information on your page. Which is the problem i have now. – Exodus, on August 16, 2008 13:28-

Removal of image and email addressesI can't remove a few things such as my last remaining picture and the email addresses i have. Even though the email addresses are not shown, i still want to remove them from your system. Also, even though i have changed the votes on a lot of information on my page to no and reported them all, the information remains. If there is a delay that does occur, you should mention it in the help section on your site.

It does indeed solve the import problem using the latest nightly build. However when i imported a playlist (.m3u file), it stopped updating the metadata part way through just as it used to do with the library (which is fixed now) – Exodus, on June 21, 2008 15:54

Exodus replied on June 17, 2008 10:03 to the problem "Scan for media hangs on certain files" in Songbird:
Sounds almost like what happened when i did a scan for media. It appeared to lock up after some time on the same folder, however i then figured out that it was simply processing all the meta data and scan results and the text was just showing the last folder it could find (consistent). I don't think it's the same problem that Marrit is explaining, but might be what SEA came across. Perhaps a change in text saying the "found music is being processed" to show people that the program has not locked up. As opposed to sitting on the one folder and appearing to be doing nothing.-

Artist and Album info not updated on scan for mediaWhen i use "scan for media" in my music folder on songbird 0.6, it does not update the details for all the songs in terms of adding artists and albums. It started doing this but obviously stopped as all the artists a-b where done but part way through c they cut off. All i am left with is the actual file name as the song.
However when i play each song, it updates this information manually. But with over 15000 files, it's not something i can do manually.
