It wouldn't surprise me. I was fine for a long time with Firefox only. Things went bad when I installed it for IE8 and synced them together. I wound up finding the xMarks for IE in the Add/Remove Programs area, and now I'm xmarks free (for IE anyway...). Thanks for you explanation!

I've long used Xmarks for Firefox without problems. Today I installed it for IE 8 and experienced the same duplication issue everyone else is talking about. I successfully rolled back the bookmarks (so no more duplicates) and disabled Xmarks in IE, but I want the Xmarks extension completely deleted from IE, however the "delete" button is grayed out. How do I delete this from IE?
