Scott finished his work on this a while back, but there was some integration work that we had to take care of before we could launch it. I'm happy to say that the final pieces are in place and you'll have OpenID (and Windows LiveID) support later tonight or tomorrow!

I'm glad to see this request is recognized and I noticed elsewhere on the site that it may becoming soon. I just wanted to add that over at Demand OpenID there are 64 signatures for this feature as of this writing.

I have to say that I have avoid signing up for an account here for at least six months because you didn't support OpenID yet. What changed? I guess you wore me down.

fwiw, OAuth took precedence over OpenID for our initial implementation (OAuth's already implemented!) but OpenID is following shortly behind...
