fatalflaw asked a question in Jottit on November 19, 2009 07:13:
syntax to embed a video – pls?I watched the screencast and looked over the syntax help on daringfireball.net, but have yet to head over to the jottit wiki or the support forums. so i suppose i'm just impatient for asking but i'm pretty sure that's synonymous with being enthusiastic in some circles...-

fatalflaw reported a problem in BlogRovR on November 19, 2009 06:44:
is there an echo in here... here... here?it's pretty obvious nobody is paying attention so it's futile to write this but i have some significant questions about using BlogRovr that aren't addressed in the FAQ, which is a bit lackluster for my purposes. it irks me when there is so much emphasis on the most rudimentary aspects of an app (things like "getting started" or "signing up") but when it comes to troubleshooting anything we're basically sol. of course, the end result of this is that your loyal client base, the people who actually use your product regularly, are left high and dry wondering how to proceed. so where's the incentive to stick with it?

fatalflaw asked a question in Twones on September 28, 2009 05:55:
Signed up with my Google Account but I prefer having a password!I signed up with Google but I would like to have a password along with my username... This helps me keep track of the sites where I have accounts; I just prefer it, I don't know :) Anyway, I emailed the Forgot Password link and received my "reset password" email. I followed the link and landed back at the log in page where my only recourse was to log in again with my Google Account. Then, under settings I am unable to change my password since I don't know what to put in the field for "old password." Is there any way to remedy this and get an old-fashioned "username/password" setup for Twones?-

A comment on the problem "You desperately need a FAQ or User Manual" in Pixelpipe:
Agreed. Too many developers are using getsatisfaction in lieu of a basic "Get Started Guide." This is me, your prototypical end user, saying: it's not the same thing. It's kind of baffling when you think about it – to spend so much time making an app great, with plenty of features, etc. and not spare the slightest moment to explain how to use it. We're talking about a couple of paragraphs here! Throw in an FAQ (ingenious invention, that) and/or a simple help file for common problems and you've done your due diligence. Leave getsatisfaction for the more individualized troubleshooting that is bound to come up as your product grows and evolves. – fatalflaw, on June 13, 2009 03:58-
