I'm experiencing the same thing. Sandy isn't responding to my emails, and I didn't get my normal reminders early this morning.
Sometimes when this happens, Sandy is processing my emails (it's just the replies that are delayed) -- I can tell this from the Web site. But today, the emails are not being processed -- they are probably sitting in Sandy's queue. (She'll probably plow through all the inbound emails at once when she comes back, and I'll get a flurry of replies later in the day.)-

Marshall, a couple comments:
- I just imported a LinkedIn VCF file with about 200 records, and it imported perfectly. Sandy even did the right thing with duplicate records.
- However, that was on the second try. On the first try, Sandy replied with the "I couldn't figure out what you wanted" message. I resubmitted the file in a completely blank email (no subject, no signature, no blank lines), and that did the trick.

Sandy doesn't parse married-couple names correctly -- that is,
r John and Mary Smith, 1 Babbling Brook, Charlotte, NC
will record a contact for Mary Smith only. I realize that this is tough to get right and I'm not sure if there's a solution that would please everybody -- just wanted to note that I'd bumped into it.
richmintz asked a question in I want Sandy on November 27, 2007 20:50:
Keywords in contactsCan you publish more documentation about what reserved words cause Sandy to treat a new item as a contact?
I often want to create an empty contact -- a contact record for a person whose contact info isn't handy at the moment. Usually I do this because I want to put the person on a list (via a tag).
I've already discovered that
r Jane Doe, Atlanta, GA @importantpeople
isn't good enough -- Sandy doesn't parse the city and state as an address.
So I've had to resort to
r Jane Doe email foo@foo.com @importantpeople
which creates a contact record with a fake email address -- and that's dumb!
(FYI -- I'm using Sandy to keep track of my Christmas card list this year, which is how this came up.)

Here's another one:
I normally use Firefox 2.0.0.9 under Mac OS 10.4.11.
In Firefox, in the "edit item" popup form, the text caret is not visible (e.g., in the "tags" field), even when I am editing. This makes the form difficult to use. (In Safari, the text caret is visible. So I'm going to start running Sandy in Safari instead.)

Shortcut to make a todo item dateless?Very frequently, I have a todo item that's assigned to a date, and I change my mind and want to remove the date (make the item dateless). It would be a huge help if, in the popup "edit item" form, there were a little button or text link called "Remove date" that did this:
- cleared any reminders
- removed the start and end dates
In fact, it could even be a text link alongside "Remove | Forget etc," which would make the operation one click faster.
richmintz replied on November 27, 2007 20:14 to the problem "Deleting or editing tags" in I want Sandy:
hey! when I wasn't paying attention, you released a tag cloud-type feature that displays all the tags I currently have assigned, in a block in the right rail.
Nifty!!!
A (possibly related) thing that I think you changed is this: now, when I display Tags -> Any Tag on the Web site, I see only certain of my items (in particular, contacts are excluded). This is a vast improvement in usability -- it's not entirely intuitive (I don't see all my tagged items, only certain types), but as a heavy user, I can tell you that it "feels" right for my hundreds of contacts not to contaminate my (few, important) todo items when I show items by tag.
Some people will need to be able to "show me my contacts that are tagged with (whatever)..." still, now that there is a tag cloud available, that's probably less urgent, and the current (new) behavior probably is a good compromise.

Tags containing non-alpha charactersTag names containing certain non-alphanumeric characters, such as @p:home, don't behave properly (for instance, when you click on the hotlinked tag, next to an item, you are told there are no matches). It's probably an HTML encoding issue.
richmintz replied on November 27, 2007 17:11 to the discussion "Nice touches" in I want Sandy:
Come to think of it, this would be helpful -- I would probably use it 20 times a week:
- If I forward an email to Sandy with the instruction "remember emails", Sandy should harvest all the email addresses (including first and last names) from the header of the first message I forwarded (the top of the forward trail) and save them in contact records. If I use the instruction "remember emails all", Sandy should also harvest email addresses from submessages (quoted messages) and the message body.
