Nice touchesHere's the thread where I'll thank Rael and company for the little things about Sandy that make the service easy to use.
And the first one: if you send
r George Costanza <george@costanza.org> @seinfeld
with the name and email address just copied and pasted from the email header of a message in my mailer (Mail.app), Sandy correctly recognizes a contact and an email address. That's nice!

Here's another one -- when I send Sandy something like
r Super 70s Dance Party Sat 8pm
she schedules the appointment correctly, but she also parses "70s" as part of an address and creates a contact. I think you can assume that if 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s (and 60's, '60s, etc.) are in a message, they're meant as plain text and not to be parsed.

Sandy does remember the emails you send her (as "related" links) -- but you can't retrieve those emails by email, as far as I know. When she tells me that there is an email #4 that is related, she should send me some amount of matching context from the email (like 5 words before and after my search term), and I should be able to "g[et] #4" to have the full message forwarded back to me. (And if there is only one match, she should just send it back to me as my results lookup, as Jason requested above.)
Also, as Jason requested above, being able to forward Sandy a random email (or generate one to her) with "remember this @work" in the subject or message body, and having her reply "I'll keep this email for later, and I've tagged it with @work," would be fantastic. In other words, Sandy should treat "file this" as a requested action.
Of course, there are storage capacity implications for the service if you allow it to be used in this way ... on the other hand, you're already keeping all the emails anyway, so probably you've already thought about them. :-)-

I followed the new iCal instructions on help/feeds, and now the color-coded calendar names in the "Calendars" box at upper left are missing -- so I have no way to see which calendars I have active, or to select or view one at a time!
The subscription succeeded ... in fact, it succeeded twice -- my computer seemed to freeze, so I force-quit iCal during the subscription process and started again -- and now I am double-subscribed to Sandy, and can't find any way to unsubscribe, because of the problem above.
Any advice?
I'm currently running OS X 10.4.11 and iCal 2.0.5. I will check for iCal updates.

Minor Sandy issuesOpening a thread for minor Sandy issues (web page typos, etc.) that don't deserve their own threads. Rael, feel free to suggest handling these another way.
First issue: typo on help/feeds -- heading "How do I subscribe my calendar Sandy's calendar feed" is missing a 'to'.
richmintz replied on November 25, 2007 18:11 to the problem "Deleting or editing tags" in I want Sandy:
I use Sandy for a modified Getting Things Done (GTD) task tracking system, and it's really a drawback that I can't easily get a list of what tags I've assigned (and, ideally, how many items have been assigned each).
One great solution would be "lookup tags" which would return this in email (and with an analogous Web page):
===
Tags you've assigned:
#1 @groceries (11 items)
#2 @household (3 items)
#3 @todo (77 items)
#4 @todo and @vacation (14 items)
#5 @vacation (14 items)
Tip: respond with "lookup #1" to see a summary list of all items with that tag.

Formatting of results when multiple lookups are in a single emailWhen I issue multiple lookups in a single email, the results don't come back in a way that makes it clear where one set of results ends and the next begins.

Uploading multiple vcf records with the same last nameI've discovered that either bulk-uploading multiple vcf records with the same last name, or editing them afterwards using "update," can cause Sandy to get confused. If you aren't able to reproduce this on your end, I probably can.
richmintz replied on November 23, 2007 22:56 to the problem "Uploading vcf record with no name" in I want Sandy:
Contact records with no first/last name (but with a company name) are also handled incorrectly in another way:
- I uploaded a vcf file containing about 8 vcf records, three of which happened to have no first/last name
- I replied to the confirmation message and used the "u #1", "u #2", etc. syntax (on multiple lines, with a blank line in between) to add some tags to various items
- Sandy got confused, and collapsed three of the entries that had no first/last name into a single mistagged entry, like this (data redacted):
