A comment on the question "How do I cancel a signal from my fire alarm to the Fire Department?" in Ann Arbor:
Soooo, the answer is that you cannot cancel a call to the fire department. Makes me wonder why you asked the question in the first place . . . – ferretlegger, on July 24, 2008 20:18

You can try calling the non-emergency number (looks like it's (734) 994-2911 in Ann Arbor), and let them know that the alarm is false, and they don't need to send anyone.
I get the burglar alarm set on me at work by people in different parts of the building, and a phone call to the local non-emergency number takes care of it, so I don't see why it wouldn't work in the fire dept.
