I'm sure you found out by now, but there is a way to run Songbird with the installed Xandros OS on the eee: do a search on eeeuser.com for "songbird", I posted some human-friendlier instructions, see post #8 of this thread:

The problem with the Asus flavor of the Xandros OS is the repositories are not up to date: they had Songbird 0.4 and I couldn't for the life of me get 0.6 to work (I'm not very good in the Linux world) - when 0.7 came out, I switched to Ubuntu. Also the 0.7 skin fits so *very* nicely in the 4G's 800x480 resolution! Some tweaking was required to get everything running smoothly

Title says it all: I think a button for adding the currently playing stream to the 'Radio' folder or a Playlist folder would be very useful.

Could be a button like the 'add bookmark' button for web pages and it could be in the song notification area and it should be grayed out if said stream is already in our bookmarks somewhere...

I haven't found a way yet in 0.6 to 'bookmark' a shoutcast stream... drag'n'drop doesn't seem to work to do this... We should be able to drag the title straight from the song notification area to a playlist or radio folder, or right-click then have a context menu for that...

I'm sure this has been suggested before, I can't believe it hasn't, but I can't find it, so:

Could we have to possibility to create subfolders for our Bookmarks?

I understand this is more of a GStreamer issue and maybe not technically Songbird's bug, but is there an ETA for a solution or workaround?

It's a bit of a dealbreaker under Linux for me now as I only listen to shoutcasts, and my gf will have my head on a pike if she can't see who/what is playing...

I have some experience with css/html and I had started checking out the feather making tutorial but re-arranging the layout/panels/proportions seemed a bit more than I could handle (or want to handle, lazy!). I might try and give it another go!

I'd love to use Songbird on my eee PC (and I sometimes do) - but it's just too cluttered at 800x480...

An optimized feather for a 800x480 screen would be great! Everything need not be displayed at once...

I'd add a "me too"!!! I'd love this feature!!
How about a 'Startup Folder' in Songbird, just drag'n'drop anything in there and it will auto-start when Songbird starts?
Or maybe the equivalent of a 'resume play' option, like mp3 players or car cd players?
