A donation previously listed on a fundraising page is removed when a credit card is rejected by a bank/credit card company at the authorization stage. A card can be rejected for a variety of reasons - you may have entered an incorrect expiration date or card number, for instance. No money is removed from your account and an e-mail is sent notifying you about the issue, and letting you know to go ahead and try making another donation.

You don't need to do anything. We will automatically contact the card owner to explain the problem and invite them to donate again. They can do so via your online fundraising page. Once your donor has contributed again successfully, the donation will re-appear on your page.
Ryan N Doyon replied on September 02, 2008 14:48 to the problem "Registration Code Nightmare!" in Firstgiving:
Kathy,
You are registered for the event and have created your page. If you were receiving an error then there was a reason for the error, and I do not know from reading your e-mail above where you were entering the code, but it appears that everything has been done successfully and you are ready to fundraise for the Jennifer S Fallick Cancer Support Center. I see that you also stated you were waiting for an answer from support. Please note that all e-mails are answered by Firstgiving with 1 business day. Your e-mails came in over the long holiday weekend and have been answered now that we are back in the office.
Thank you

Hello Rebecca,
As I let asa22579 know we just made a change to our fundraising page and the change is not working correctly at the moment. As with most website updates when we make a site change it takes the launch of the particular update to see how it affects the use of our site. Unfortunately we have discovered this change has caused some problems that we could not be aware of until we launched the change to the public. We are working to fix this issue as fast as we can and you should not have any further problems adding text. We will update our Get Satisfaction page as soon as this problem is corrected. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
