Does it only happen in IE, not Firefox? I don't remember exactly what the problem was anymore, but we ran across this in development in some app. It had to do with viewing images linked over http to remote sites when you're on an https site. Our ghetto solution was to just serve up those images over ssl. Actually, thinking about it, that's how Amazon has solved it too.. ever notice the image server name is like ssl-something.amazon.com when you're on an ssl site, but when you're on a regular page it's something else? Seems to be a few pages about it - quick search came up with http://hype-free.blogspot.com/2007/01...

It was only with the newest (at the time) version of IE. Probably 7 something on XP.

I have 9 users on my wiki. Only 1 of them gets this error. I haven't been able to figure out what it is or why....help!

I have the same problem with my plugins being http instead of https. What can I do to resolve that issue? Is there any way to change the plugin address to https?

A comment on the problem ""Internet Explorer cannot display the page" error message" in PBwiki:

If you can log on in one browser, than the problem is probably not the connection to the server. What version of IE are you using? What firewalls are you using and what security level are you setting for IE? One thing to try is to put PBwiki in your list of trusted sites. In IE7, it's Tools --> Internet Options, then click the Privacy tab and then the Sites button. Add the domain *,pbwiki.com to your Allow list.

im still having this trouble. Actually, Ive ALWAYS had this trouble when using IE. With my computer, or with anyother one. Its really annoying, and keeps me from getting a communtiy of users.

please let me know when its fixed.

It may have been related to some issues with our Content Distribution...but that should be fixed. Let us know if you're still having trouble.

Usually, IE does that when the connection is acting finicky. Are any non-PBwiki pages acting funny or loading suspiciously slowly on your connection?

Occasionally when I click save after changing a page I get a gray screen with the message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the page." When I click the back browser button and click save again it works fine. Why?
