Thanks. This answers the question. The widget is the "Bubbles game" on my cafemom homepage. The ad covers the whole widget and doesn't go away no matter how long I wait. Yesterday when I opened it later there was no ad and I played a couple games. Today the ad is back. I tried waiting hours - to give the page time to load - and I tried taking the cursor completely off of the page. Still there.

The overlay ads on my widget cover my game while I am playing and then they don't go away - even when the page is finished loading. Thanks for the first answer.

Okay, so they are called overlay ads, not pop-ups. wrong terminology but they don't go away on load. They cover my game while I am already playing and they stay there and I can't play any more and lose the game.

Widgets are not a good idea when pop up ads block the game so that you can't play. Is there a way to stop this or do I just have to delete the entire widget and forget about it? I understand that you need advertising, but this defeats the whole purpose anyway.
