Text box for my Mobile/Cell Phone Device is missing in SettingsI'm unable to add my mobile/cell in my profile - the box where you are supposed to enter the phone number is not showing up on the /devices page? I've tried using FireFox and Safari - the box where you enter the phone number isn't there. I check the box saying we agree to SMS, and click save, and get an error saying you have to enter a valid phone number. But again, the box where you are supposed to be typing in the number isn't on the page - I've had several people look at it, and they don't see it either. I've got 3 other twitter accounts that work fine - but this one is not giving me the text box to type in my mobile device under Settings.-

fmckinnon asked a question in IntenseDebate on February 27, 2009 14:40:
Taking IntenseDebate's XML Export and Importing Back into WordPress 2.7How can I import my comments xml file from IntenseDebate back into WordPress? I've been having the sync issues where 99% of my comments in IntenseDebate are not syncing over to WordPress. The old legacy plugin export feature generates a code error, so my only option now is to try and import the .xml file that I get when choosing "Export Comments to XML" in IntenseDebate.
I have my .XML file now, but just don't know how to import it back into WordPress, and haven't seen any instructions. In WordPress Admin, Under Tools > Import , there are lots of import features - the only one I can imagine would work for an .xml file would be the RSS import; however, it doesn't indicate that it imports comments, only posts.
Also, although I do not care if I duplicate some comments on the import, I *MOST DEFINITELY* don't want to duplicate posts.
I'd love a response from someone at IntenseDebate with a step-by-step on how to take my .xml file from ID and import into WP.
Thanks a million.

Dave,
I keep hoping that they'll wake up and resolve it. So, I keep using the platform. Of 50+ comments on one blog last week, only 2 were there when I de-activated ID. Even the old legacy plugin won't work - simple code error. I suppose I should de-activate sooner than later, it only gets worse. It's a shame, because i really like the features ... if only sync would work. People are asking me, and I'm being honest with them about the lack of support, and the daily complaints I get from people getting "timeout" errors and such. I kept quite for about 4 weeks, but now I have to tell the truth.
I'm holding out in hopes for a resolution, then I'll be quick to tell everyone that it got fixed ... I don't believe in giving bad reviews w/o following up when they make amends, but for now, I think this issue just doesn't affect enough people to matter.

Michael,
Thanks - the specific error message I kept getting on the 1.75 plugin is in my email ticket that I sent last week ... I removed the new plugin, activated the old plugin (1.75), hit export, and got this error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/fredmckinnon.com/httpdocs/myblog/wp-content/plugins/idc.php on line 243
No comments were exported.
I know code, and thought maybe this was some type of openbase_dir restriction error or something (and I could just specify the full include file path), but that wasn't the case - the code on line 243 is generating the error, and I didn't know how to resolve that.-

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem ... same issue about trying to ping my server. I've been begging for a way to export my comments back to wordpress - I tried the old plugin w/ the old-fashioned export command, and it won't work (errors) ... I can't find any instructions on how to use the XML dump, and not getting answers on my ticket or emails.-

Syncing won't work, and I can't export my comments back to WordPressRegarding http://www.fredmckinnon.com/myblog/
This is a long, ongoing issue - I have open Ticket #254366, but wanted to post here on forums as well, in case these issues affect more people than just me.
1. Syncing does not work. The overwhelming majority of my comments never sync back to my server's wordpress database. IntenseDebate has shown that they attempt to sync, but get 403 errors back from my server. My server admin (not the Tier 1 dudes, but the full-blown Linux server admin specialist) has poured over firewall settings and log files and says there is no reason this should be happening - and why some comments DO sync, and most of them do NOT is a mystery.
2. Because of #1, I'm attempting to de-activate IntenseDebate from my blog, but because of #1, I lose 99% of my comments. Not good.
3. As a resolution, IntenseDebate sent me the URL to download the OLD, legacy plugin that has the old-fashioned "Export" button.
4. When attempting to use the "Export" button, it won't work:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/fredmckinnon.com/httpdocs/myblog/wp-content/plugins/idc.php on line 243
5. I'm stuck - I need to get ALL of my comments OUT of the IntenseDebate system, and back into my blog's databse, but nothing I've tried will work.
6. if the Export code error in #4 can be resolved, I'll try that again. Otherwise, I need someone to give detailed instructions on how to use the XML dump to get everything back into my blog's database where the comments belong.
Thanks for your attention to this matter ASAP. This is a month-long saga that I'm ready to end before the weekend is over.
fmckinnon replied on February 09, 2009 20:23 to the idea "Facebook Connect." in IntenseDebate:
I really wanted this as well - was going to start a thread until I saw this one exists ... we've integrated FaceBook connect into our forums and it's had a huge, positive impact on our site. Now I wish to do it on my blog, and find that "it's not even on the list" .. dang. Sadly, I've been hostage to ID now, since the syncing doens't work for me - when I deactivate it, I lose the majority of my comments .. .I've been promised a workaround, but have seen nothing.

Jonathan,
Yep - I think that's the issue - it's happening right now, and I decided to try and load the http://search.twitter.com url, and I got this message:
