First I just have to say I love Postbox and the direction its going. I've been using it for all my work email since the moment I was invited to the beta. However, I have a bit of a problem with the inspector when it comes to attachments.
The inspector is great for photo thumbnails, but I don't notice other types of attachments because its just a filename. Its getting to be embarassing always missing the attachments.
I think its because the dark sidebar is similar to the ad bars I've learned to ignore on the web. The message list and message are white, but the inspector is dark and feels unrelated to the current task of reading the message. Also, I've had to squish things a bit for the vertical layout. If I'm focused on reading the email, the inspector fades into the border of the application. Here's a screenshot of my postbox:

I would really like something in the message header to indicate when there are attachments - a paperclip in the background, or ideally links to attachments so I can hide the inspector altogether.-

Sent and replies in one viewI would really like to see a conversation view with just my sent messages and replies in one timeline. Seeing just replies is annoying if I don't remember what I sent, and seeing only sent isn't very useful without the reply. I use twitteriffic most of the time primarily because it shows everything in one timeline. Bonus points if you can do the same for direct messages.

Inline message previewI noticed just now that if I do a search using CMD+Return, click on the mail account in the sidebar, then clear the search box, I get a nice view of the 10 most recent emails in my inbox with some text from each email showing. I would love to see something like this in the normal message list, though I know it would be a lot of work.
I swear I used to have a mail program that would do this and show part of the message, but now the closest thing I can find is in Gmail next to the subject.

I just setup my MobileMe account in Postbox with no problems. I followed the setup wizard and it is using mail.mac.com:993 for IMAP and smtp.mac.com for outgoing, but it still seems to work. As for the password issue, it asked me for a password the first time it tried to connect to MobileMe.
All I can think of checking is if Postbox is being blocked by some firewall and whether Thunderbird works on your system.-

A comment on the question "Change the dock badge color?" in Postbox, Inc.:
I see what you mean about the grey postbox icon being harder to find. I think most of the postboxes in the style of this new icon were red though, which would hide the new dock badge.
I would love to see the whole postbox dock icon turn red when there are new messages, then the badge could stay the same. Email is often just as important as instant messaging - why should Adium be the only app that changes its icon to indicate status? – James W, on February 10, 2009 00:42-

Mark To-Do's CompleteI would like to see a way of marking a To-Do item as complete. Instead of just the To-Do icon in the message list, a checkbox could be displayed for items marked complete. I'd rather not have to use topics to color the message.
Entourage does this with flags where you click once to make a todo, then click again to mark complete.

Make To-do's stand outPlease make the Todo icon in the message list more visible, or color messages marked as a ToDo. It could even toggle a ToDo topic where the color could be chosen.
As the Postbox icon is nothing like most people are used to (stars and flags), I think it should be more prominent so people can actually see it when scanning. Entourage has the bright red flag, and Gmail has a bunch of colorful icons in labs. Anything is better than a thin greyscale icon for grabbing attention.
Without a change to the icon, we'll have more people confused like Zeb was: http://getsatisfaction.com/postbox/to...-

Favorite folders toolbarThe current method of marking a folder as a favorite moves the folder higher in the folder list, and takes it away from where it was before. This is going to lead to confusion when someone goes looking for a folder which has been hidden because its now at the top. Also, its not much easier to find the Favorite folders as they don't really have their own area.
I would really like to see favorite folders moved to something like the bookmarks toolbar in most web browsers. Just a toolbar across the top which you can drag folders and saved searches to for quick access - without hiding the original folder. Entourage already has this implemented and its pretty useful:
