Add support for identi.ca (and Laconica)Please consider adding support for Laconica and identi.ca. identi.ca, at http://identi.ca/, is an Free software/Open Source "Twitter clone" with a Twitter compatible API. That means that all you have to do is to change the URL of the Twitter API to the identi.ca API URL, and all your existing code for Twitter will work with identi.ca! You can read more about that here: http://laconi.ca/trac/wiki/TwitterCom....
Laconica, at http://laconi.ca/, is the code that identi.ca runs, and anyone can install it on their own server, like Leo Laporte's very popular podcasting network TWiT has done at http://army.twit.tv/. The only thing you need to do to add support for any installation of Laconica, instead of just identi.ca, is to let the user herself tell you the URL of the API. For an example just look at how http://twitterfeed.com does it.
If you'd set up an account yourself on identi.ca too, that would be awesome! You can find a list of clients and services that works with identi.ca (and some of which can post to Twitter and identi.ca simultaneously) at http://laconi.ca/trac/wiki/Apps. TwitPic will of course be added to this list if you decide to support identi.ca. (One of your competitors are already on the list for supporting both idenit.ca and Twitter.)

A comment on the problem ""Pitch" and # of characters in "Create Mission" needs some work" in Akoha:
Oh, ok. I wrote the pitch as a message to those who would review the mission, not as something that should be public for anyone. Why not just link to that blogpost until you get the time to update the page more?
Also: How long does it normally take for a mission to get accepted or declined? I sent in a mission idea 6 days ago, but haven't heard anything back at all! I'd like to get some kind of feedback that you've recieved my idea, and that you'll review it and let me know within atleast X days, every time I submit a mission idea! – forteller, on February 01, 2009 17:13

Start using identi.ca actively!i see that you are using twitter actively, which is great. But, you also have an account on the open source microblogging service Identi.ca, that you have totally abandoned. You have some followers there and millette, an important contributer at akoha, has started a group for you: http://identi.ca/group/akoha
Since last time you used identi.ca, they have added the option of automatically crossposting to twitter. There's also many clients which supports identi.ca, and some of them lets you update both identi.ca and twitter at the same time. You can see a list of clients at http://laconi.ca/trac/wiki/Apps Unfortunately your client of choice, tweetdeck, does not yet support identi.ca, but you can vote for it here: http://tweetdeck.uservoice.com/pages/...
All this means that it won't give you any more work to post to both services. Therefore I hope you will revive your identi.ca account. It will mean a lot to your passionate users in the open source community.-

More personal feedsAs far as I can see there's only one personal feed right now. Mine is here: http://getsatisfaction.com/people/for...
This feed lists everything that happens, both what I do and what others do in threads I follow. I would like to have more feeds. Most importantly I would like to have a feed that only lists new ideas, problems, questions, and praise (new threads) I create. That way I can share it via. e.g. Twitter and identi.ca. Other feeds that could be usefull is a feed with all my activity (both new threads and comments), a feed with only others activities in threads I follow, etc.

Implement OpenMicroBloggingYou have taken the idea of statusmessages (like Facebook, MSN, Twitter) into Chi.mp, which is a good idea since that is the new hottness nowadays. But why would anyone bother using it instead of another microblogging service or Facebook when it's only visible on your .mp website..
That's why you should implement OMB. OMBis an Open standard which lets you subscribe to the messages of others across services. http://identi.ca is the largest service that has implemented OMB til now, but more are comming. With OMB you can also automatically set your Facebook status message from Chi.mp, thus making it more attractive to use (since it won't mean more work.)
Read more about OMB at http://openmicroblogging.org/about/-

Support registering with OpenIDTo make it easier and more convenient for more people to register with your service, you should add the ability to register with OpenID. Read more at http://openid.net/

Link to community.akoha.comI can't find a link on akoha.com to community.akoha.com. There need to be that! If there is one, it needs to be a lot more visible!
