If you look at the details of the auction, that one's a Toe Clip as well. :(
I wish someone from TB2 would reply and at least give us some sort of idea why this bag was discontinued. Did it not sell well? Because most people that I encounter are more impressed with the Single Speed bag I have than the typical TB2 classic bags (which are readily available). There's gotta be a reason, it's such a unique bag I can't imagine they wouldn't want to corner the market on this niche. – Fotolorea, on January 23, 2009 12:53

@alvin
Unfortunately I'm looking for the large or medium messenger version of the SS series. It seems eBay has plenty of Toe Clips, and occasionally a Slant, or a Relay (which I already own and love). Some sellers are even claiming their bag to be a "large" messenger, but when you look further, it's a Toe Clip. (I actually bought one of these but luckily realized my mistake before the seller shipped the item).
These are all on the smaller end of the SS series. I just need something a little bit bigger :)

Is there any chance this line will be brought back?
It seems really strange that such a popular line would be discontinued. Especially in that it filled a niche that most other companies do not.
Not to take anything away from TB2, but bags akin to the classic messenger are easily found elsewhere; yet these type of bags seem to make up a large portion of the TB2 line.
The Single Speed line, on the other hand, is quite original, and as far as I know there's no one else out there making anything similar.-
Fotolorea started following the question "Why is the strap pad a $10 add on for the Build Your Own Messenger?" in Timbuk2.
Fotolorea asked a question in Timbuk2 on March 06, 2008 23:09:
Is the Strap Pad always included with the Classic Messenger bag?Is the Strap Pad usually included with the Classic Messenger bag?
On the official TB2 site, when you click through to classic messenger, it says "Strap Pad Included."
However, a Strap Pad also seems to be an accessory item available for purchase. I'm confused as to why (beyond a replacement situation) anyone would want/need to purchase a Strap Pad if they're included with the bags.
Is it that the bags didn't used to include a Strap Pad, but now they do?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
