Restore the Login FunctionalityI previously emailed you about the login being broken (since you added the FaceBook "functionality") and you said that you were working on it. Well, I'm tired of waiting. Will it be fixed soon or shall I give up on you?
Greg Fowler reported a problem in twitterfeed on December 10, 2008 14:56:
Why is a feed still being generated for the account that I deleted?I couldn't get a response to my email inquiries and requests. I finally figured out how to access the settings for the WordPress-hosted blog after it had started getting forwarded to the new site, so that I could delete the access permissions for TwitterFeed. But the damn feed is still being sent. I want the old account to be deleted so that the feed only gets generated from the new account that I created for the new site.
Greg Fowler replied on November 02, 2008 22:17 to the problem "Why can't I follow new people?" in Plurk:
Alvin: Thanks for the clarification. I never took any notice of 'My Friends' before other than to accept requests and set up cliques, since I always interpreted the numbers on my timeline to reflect my current number of friends and people that I was following. So here are the current stats. Mutual Friends 204, People I Follow 501, My Fans 146. So, here's my next question... from the beginning, Plurk has suggested that we limit our number of friends. But since it appears from this that the number of friends doesn't impact on the '500' limit, aren't you giving users a reason to 'friend' everybdy instead of 'fanning' them?

I don't understand why this is suddenly an issue. I've been on Plurk for +5 months now, and my timeline has never auto-updated :( – Greg Fowler, on November 01, 2008 23:00

Actually, you got a response from them pretty quick. Not fast enough IMO, but a hell of a lot faster than their usual speed. – Greg Fowler, on November 01, 2008 22:57

Amir: I haven't reached that limit, despite your claim to the contrary. According to your stats on my timeline page, I currently have 217 friends and 116 fans. My suggestion is that you figure out what's going on. And what's with the arbitrary limit anyways? Like your karma penalties, it seems like a reason for people to *not* use Plurk.

A comment on the problem ""Canada Election 2008" tab isn't showing up." in Plurk:
Well, our 2008 election is over with. Perhaps the A-Team will manage to get off their asses and respond to this issue before the next election comes around. If they're going to have their office in Canada, then they need to show us equal respect. – Greg Fowler, on October 22, 2008 07:36

The direct msg approach sounds like a good feature. There must be some (lots?) of company reps who would respond positively to such a reminder and address the overlooked thread. I'm not naive enough to think that it'd be a 100% solution though. After all, if every company responded as they should to customer feedback, would this site even be necessary? Sometimes the 'public embarrassment' approach is the only way to influence them to respect users. So I think we should still have some kind of public nudge mechanism.
Greg Fowler marked one of Amir Salihefendic's replies in Plurk as useful. Amir Salihefendic replied to the question "Can display names be 'stolen'?".

Multiple threads about the same topic makes it unnecessarily difficult to follow all of the issues, so hopefully I wasn't guilty of that. Unfortunately, getSatisfaction doesn't ID the date/timestamps, and both of these threads are marked "3 months ago." In any case, thanks for the link. – Greg Fowler, on September 21, 2008 22:37

I'll put in my 2 cents as requested by Amy (http://getsatisfaction.com/plurk/topi...) after recently bumping (nudging?) a whole slew of unanswered threads. Mind you, half of them were a month old, and the other half 2 months old. Perhaps you'd want to restrict nudges to a similar age, and only 1 per thread? I think it's perfectly valid for the thread creator to give the nudge, but I've personally been criticized for it, so that's something that you might want to poll users about. Thanks for the invite Amy :)-

What's obnoxious is having questions ignored for so long that they have to be bumped. Thanks for your 2 cents. – Greg Fowler, on September 19, 2008 04:01
