Amir, if you want to play word games I'll give you a long list of words that I'd like the ability to blacklist. And yes, if it gets to the point that Plurk is being spammed by viagra ads then that's one of the words that would likely be on my blacklist. Now perhaps you'll explain your reluctance, instead of simply calling it a bad idea.

First referred to in another thread (http://getsatisfaction.com/plurk/topi...) but I thnk it requires more visibility... what's the chance of Plurk providing blacklisting capability? the ability to refine it by keywords, time frame, users, etc?

copy/paste the URL into the Plurk input box followed by a single space followed by (the link label that you want to be displayed). Immediately following the closing right parentheses you can put what you want (period, comma, exclamation mark, etc., or a space).

Eric: that's what I was trying to suggest... that you allow editing up until the time that somebody makes a response but not after that... whether you choose to implement it or not, I've at least managed to put it on your radar, so I'll consider this closed... thanks for your responsiveness.

Most of the blocks that I've put on peeps have been for using foul language. If you would provide us with blacklisting capability (eg. block on specific words) that would be a much better solution for me than having to put blanket blocks on them and would enable me to keep them as friends/fans for future clique-targetting.

I would rather not have to remove somebody as friend/fan in order to block them, since that would prevent me from being able to include them in targetted plurks via cliques once that feature becomes more functional.

What is it about the question that you didn't understand? The plurks of one of the plurkrs who I've put a block on continue to appear in my timeline. If you're waiting for me to publicly ID them I don't think that would be appropriate.

Cliques may turn out to be a powerful component of Plurk, but at present they're limited in their functionality because only the clique creator can plurk to the clique (I think). Allowing clique members to plurk instead of simply being able to reply would almost certainly give Plurk an added dimension.

In addition to not being able to see you in my timeline, I couldn't see your timeline either. However, you were always still in my friends list. The problem seems to be resolved today, since you're back in my timeline again.

Thank you for that reply. I appreciate the fact that you now seem to be making some effort. However, instead of expecting me to re-submit all of the issues that I previously emailed you about, I suggest that you review all of the emails sent to http://www.plurk.com/contact and prioritize them and then start to deal with them. It's hardly good enough that you ignored all of those emails and then simply say, 'well, we're going to make some effort from now on.' The people who made the effort to email you deserve to get replies. As for future communications with you, I will use this site instead of emailing, because here there is at least a bit of a spotlight on you if you don't address issues.

Why is Plurk's presence on this support site such a closely guarded secret that I only just discovered it today? When did Plurk first ID it on the contact form? Why couldn't somebody have pointed it out in an email response to just one of my numerous emails to you?
