I created a mock up and this runs a back end database that can store all the entries entered into the iPhone I posted this to another question about this and just discovered this post. This does not recreate the admin portion of the site. It is for quick and simple execution of tasks to Sandy. After all this is all about interacting by email.

A comment on the question "iPhone interface to IWS?" in I want Sandy:

First, this is a web interface. Web slowness is not an issue for this implementation especially with 3G. This will even pop on edge. Unfortunately I am not one of the lucky few developers who can post an app and I hear there is about a 6 month or more waiting list for anyone applying now. This works now.and is fast. (no page bloat). I would be one of the first to get a native app if one were available. – Fox Mulder, on August 18, 2008 15:08

This was sent to me by the Lone Gunmen. They said they are currently working on developing this some more but it works for asking Sandy to do stuff. Please do not be fooled by the title Sandy is not a person you call. :-)

Going the extra mile here to avoid typing on the iPhone. Next up is creating a drop down for a list of tags. Also what is not seen here presently is that anything entered from this interface is saved to review from your iPhone in such a way you will see a list of entries searchable by date, type, or tags.

I am sorry to tease you with just a pic. More details letter. Unfortunately for my love of money everything used to create this is free. So I won't be able to charge you an arm and a leg for it. Maybe just a pinky.

This is currently a feature of this program you may have missed in the manual if I am not mistaken

"When you make me part of an email conversation, I will automatically email the other recipients (anyone else in the To: or Cc: fields), with appointments, reminders, to-dos, contacts, or bookmarks you had me create" - from section near the end called "Sharing"

You just CC: the other person you want included. and in the message or subject start the command with "Sandy" For example:

"Sandy, Remind my forgetful fred to take pick up the concert tickets this Friday"

I might make a video version of the manual because the manual has a lot of "Wows" when you actually get what is possible. Hope this helps afield. and Chris. Cupcakes and Coffee/Tea perfect combination. I think I am getting fat.

Have I grokked you? Has my Vulcan mind meld read your mind? Hope I have unfrustrated you?

What my deal is is that I don't want the person cc'd so I can surprise them at the appointed. Time I know of several other programs that do this but wanted to find out if Sandy has this talent on her resume.

Okay, here is the quick and dirty version which has to do more with creativity than any programming. Hopefully the guys at I want sandy can pick up and run with it and I will get some geek cred.

Use rushmsg.com to create custom email subject using the common phrases "I want Sandy" understands. For example:

Remind me
Remember to
Snooze
Update #
Forget #

You may also want to set up a couple of common lookups like

Lookup @todo
Lookup @(your relevant popular context tags)

Unless I am completely off my rocker this is a quick and dirty solution the interface is the regular clean apple interface that is completely customizable on the iPhone using rushmsg.com. Adding email as a contact for quickly selecting your email. This may not do everything on the web site but handles creating items quickly with text that have to be rewritten.

I have a more advanced version of this that I am working on and should work even better but I'll need a little more time for that just wanted to get this out to your iPhone guys. Coming up with creative solutions is my passion.

Birthday/Event Automation - I think I got this one figured out on another application but here goes. Let's see if Sandy is up to the task. Here is how the command would look as an email

Sandy, email roger (a contact in Sandy) the body of this email at x date in the future.
