Hi,
If you've installed Loopt on your BlackBerry and logged in, then Loopt will automatically refresh your location once every 15 minutes. If you ever want to change that behavior, you can open Loopt, go to Settings, and change the Location Updates option.
You DO have to keep using Loopt on your phone if you want the web location to stay fresh. For privacy reasons, Loopt will stop updating your location if you haven't used the service on your mobile in a while. "Using" Loopt can be as simple as just opening the app and checking your friends list, for instance.
If you've done all the above and things still aren't working as expected, then you'll want to make sure location access is enabled for your BlackBerry. To do so: Go to Options on your Home Screen, choose Advanced Options, then GPS, and make sure Data Source is set to "Device GPS", and "GPS Services" is set to "Location ON".
Best,
Fred

Hey Scott - I just tried resending the email and it bounced. Do you have another email address I could reach you at? – Fred, on July 17, 2008 18:31

Hey Scott. Once you take the photo you have to press the back key a couple times to return to the thumbnail picker, at which point the photo you've just taken should show up. Let me know if that doesn't work for you. – Fred, on July 15, 2008 19:35

We'll check it out! Thanks for the feedback. As for checking the version, we've only released one version for BlackBerry so far so I'm sure you have the latest :-). When we do release an upgrade, you'll get a notice inside of the app. – Fred, on June 30, 2008 08:47

Hi Brad: Which kind of BlackBerry do you have? Also, are you able to scroll down to select the Next button, or is it just that when you click it, nothing happens? By the way, you can always select Invite by Phone Number to get that invite out there, but we'd definitely like to fix the bug if one exists. – Fred, on June 30, 2008 03:32

G, Would you mind shooting us a quick email to blackberry (at) loopt.com so we can connect up? I'd like to try something to see if we can't get you up and running. Just mention that you're G in the email, and I'll follow up. Thanks! – Fred, on June 11, 2008 20:34

Hi Dorian, don't be sad :-) We're looking into supporting that device now. It's a bit tricky, though, as the Pearl on T-Mobile doesn't have a built-in GPS. If you want, you can send us your email address to blackberry (at) loopt.com and we'll put you on a notification list - don't forget to include your phone model. – Fred, on June 11, 2008 00:06

Thanks for taking the time to give us such incredibly thorough feedback, Moo! I'm sorry the download experience was so rough.
I'd like to connect up with you over email so that we can 1) send you some schwag, and 2) learn why your phone doesn't have a ServiceBook for the BlackBerry web browser. We'd definitely like to improve the process for users in your situation.
We hear your feedback on the map and text box stuff - those items are already on our to-do list. We’ll dig into the other issues you mentioned as well.
Send us an email to blackberry (at) loopt.com, and let’s talk.
Thanks,
