I'm in a bit of a bind, because, as an Adobe employee, I'm probably not supposed to comment on when this bug might be fixed, or in what upcoming version of the AIR runtime the fix might be available. So I'm going to just say again, we are WELL AWARE of this problem. Personally I will add that I find it annoying too and can't wait to see it fixed myself.

Hi Peldi, I already talked to you about the label idea and I worked it out little bit for you. This way you can see what I mean. It works similar like layers in drawing programs but I hope less complex to understand!
Every item can have a label (one or more colours). The settings box needs to be expand for this, like this:
There also needs to be a label selection box. In this box you turn the showing of a label on or off. You will see this box in the picture below on the right. Maybe its an idea to put the label box in the ribbon or as a button to turn it on and off:
In this example I will label all the remarks (3 in total) with the colour green. When I check the box with the colour green, the labels are not shown (and viceversa)
I can also do this with the horizontal and vertical tabs
I label the horizontal tab Orange and the vertical one Purple. What is shown depends on which one I check, see below.
I checked the orange one
I checked the purple one
When you combine labels it gets interesting. That way you can make combinations

Hi Peldi,
concerning this issue, mentioned by sebastian:: (2) Clicking through prototype pages
Have multiple mockup pages or mockups, adding clickable areas to jump to another mockup page with different state. Needs to add a new view mode where clicking does not toggle the control to edit mode but to the linked mockup page (feature already adressed by adam.alexander)
Maybe you would like to look at SnagIt. I use it a lot and when you are in edit mode you have the possibility to put in a ' hotspot'. You dont see the hotspot but when you hoover over it and click it, it will take you to an address. Maybe you can use the same technique to open another mock up. This way the user has the full flexibilty to use it on every place he desires and to open a mockup or an web address.

Hi Peldi,
I love your tool and the way your running your business, really great!! A feature i would really like to have added to the roadmap (only if other people miss it as well ;) ) is the possiblity to show/hide remarks. I am making mock ups and then i put remarks at certain laces. This makes the mock up ' messy' so i would like to turn the remarks on or off, so i can see a clean mock up and one with remarks for the developers. I have some ideas of how you could do this:
Give all the remark items the label remarks. Put in the view menu the option show remarks.
Maybe i am going a little bit to far now but you could even make it possible to label every item. This way i can check different minor differences within a mock up. For example i give 5 items the label green, and some other items the label orange. Then i select show all green labels (hence is see these items) and the option show orange items. It works a little bit like the layer approach in drawing programns.
Anyway the remark option would be great for me and the label thing, well sounds like a nice feature.
Keep up the good work
Michael

Hi Seppo, thanks for the ideas.
(1) just tell me what you need and I'll add it!
(2) Highly requested feature, and I have big plans for it. Just no timeline on it yet. – Giacomo 'Peldi' Guilizzoni, on August 05, 2008 11:05

Hi all (brand new, completly inspired and loving user),
(1) Community built control recommendations
Is there a community process planned to develop new UI items?
Idea: Community gets SDK (or whatever) to define view (edit mode, view mode) and model. A central organization (you, Peldi) reviews the controls before adding them to balsamiq (to avoid running away from paper prototype style to high fidelity stuff)
(2) Clicking through prototype pages
Have multiple mockup pages or mockups, adding clickable areas to jump to another mockup page with different state. Needs to add a new view mode where clicking does not toggle the control to edit mode but to the linked mockup page (feature already adressed by adam.alexander)

Seppo
