We have been noticing interface changes in Google Mail and have released a few fixes this week to address them. Do you use Google Mail with https://? I'll get back to you as soon as we test this out and confirm...

You can use Zemanta with Google Mail to email your post to Posterous.

We might look into putting up an editor for people with unsupported platforms, but currently - as you already figured out - you can use the Demo and copy paste the HTML from there...

Should be up on https version of Google Mail - just open https://mail.google.com and you should be fine.

Can you elaborate? Which version of Firefox are you using and which version of the extension? What exactly happens (screenshot?)? Have you tried restarting the browser?

You're not doing anything wrong - Google changed some code so it stopped working. We will be releasing a fix later today and it should appear immediately if you're using Google Mail through https.

Agreed - some wording on the preferences is not obvious enough about what happens when you select one option over another. We'll try to make it a bit more obvious and I'll let you know when we're done!

We tested on Chrome on all our testing machines but could not reproduce this error. Can you please post your Chrome version?

The JavaScript engine in IE7 is much slower than in current browsers, so if you have the option of upgrading I would suggest you do. We will look into the code and try to make it faster for browsers with slower engines...

It'd be great if you could help us some more by explaining what exactly was happening in Blogger when you had Zemanta enabled? I'm presuming the "New post" page was freezing while you were writing?

If you are using Internet Explorer the Zemanta icon is at the bottom of the browser in the status line. If you do not see it, you can show the status bar by going into the View menu, opening the Toolbars submenu and selecting Status bar. You will see an orange square icon with a small plus in it - click the icon and select "Toggle" in the menu that pops up. When you see a grey icon with a red x on it you've disabled Zemanta.

You can send us your browser version number by opening the Help menu and choosing About Internet Explorer. You can find the version of the Blogger editor by going into Settings/Basic - at the bottom you will see a menu where you can "Select post editor" under "Global Settings".

You are probably using Zemanta extension, so you can just click on the orange icon in the address bar to disable it.

If that helps we would love to get some more information so we can find and fix this issue - what browser you use, what version of blogger and editor (screenshot would be best).

Do you see the "Link recommendations will appear here « Links" or you don't see links at all? Can you add a screenshot?
