Bigloutech has a good point with the RSS feeds. I would like to see them as text only ticker in the bar itself. (Like the feeds at the top of gmail) I like to keep my desktop pretty clean. No extra widgets and windows. Maybe a drop down menu like the one on the side of the Firefox browser window. If the user saw headline that peeked their interest in the ticker but it changed, they could click the drop down. The drop down menu could offer pics and descriptions of the headlines (like the left column of current.com) on a cycle matching the ticker. The user could click the headline in either menu or ticker to link to the story's current.com page. The user could also collapse the menu back into the toolbar and continue browsing.

Wasn't a big deal, but the currentbar.xpi file that downloaded had to be dragged and dropped on my freshly installed firefox browser window. It didn't automatically install on its own. (Mac Pro running Leopard)

I like the friends feature. This will allow me to keep up with friends at Current and the pods they kicking out. Maybe the bar (or current.com) could use a tab be to share opportunities for collaboration. Not just what has been uploaded, but what is in the works.
