Thanks Rashmi. I actually negotiated a happy compromise with the company. They are sending me a copy of the slideshow without their name on it. Iwill then add it to slideshare myself under my name. Cheers!

Interesting issue. I would respect the company's wishes. Mistakes do happen. But they should probably take down the slideshow if they don't want people to be using it.

Can you try to find other slideshows that are similar that you could use?

Privacy and Slideshow; a Conundrum!!!
I run a commercial website in the design industry. I added a slideshow about architecture from slideshare.com. It says on it "privacy info: this slideshow is public". It has been downloaded 98 times. I wasa ctually alerted to the document as a mate sent it by e mail so it clearly "out there".

The company which made the slideshow has now emailed me to say that I cannot add it to my site as it "got into the public domain by mistake".

Question is am I OK to add it to my site or not?

Would love an answer and be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
