We almost gave up on GMail despite the fact that we love it. Having a signature with our company name is a huge part of our corporate branding. We use a small amount of HTML in ALL of our signatures.
With the Greasemonkey script [http://cybernetnews.com/2007/11/09/ht...] mentioned above, we can set up a pretty slick signature. It has our company name and a link to http://www.thoughtclump.com included.
It's a pity GMail doesn't offer this feature by default.

Here's a script for the Greasemonkey Firefox add-on that allows you to use several HTML signatures in gmail 2.0:

Does anyone know of a HTML signature feature for Gmail 2.0?In Gmail 1.0 I used a greasemonkey script but it no longer works for Gmail 2.0? Can anyone direct me to a newer script that would allow me to insert HTML in my emails? Thanks.
