I have the same problem. I spend hours on a dialup downloading the update, and get a failure message. this has happened for about a week. Very frustrating. It isn't my ISP. Other data was sent and received without a problem.
As of now, I have no anti virus program. Apparently my old definitions were deleted in the process. Right now I am a very dissatisfied customer.
