A comment on the problem "Issues with picklists while switching between datasets" in Socrata:
One Pick List was definitely overwritten by another. I believe it was a transitory problem. I logged off and logged in and the problem persisted. When I first tried to manually edit the pick list back to its original values, I could change them, but the Save button had no effect ('waiting for blist' in status bar, even after 10 minutes). I was able to successfully complete and save an edit after signing on later in the evening. Might have been server/network glitches. The whole blist site had been somewhat slow and unresponsive during the earlier sessions.
Problem has not reproduced at this point. I would consider it resolved.

Garth Olson reported a problem in Socrata on June 19, 2009 03:20:
Issues with picklists while switching between datasetsI had finished extending one of my Blists tonight, and decided to switch to another to make some changes.
I discovered that one of the pick lists in this Blist now had the values form the Blist that I had switched from.
I tried to edit the Pick list back to the original values, but the changes would not save. The Blists involved are public and can be viewed at the following URL's:
http://app.blist.com/#/blist/travicane/Software-Inventory
http://app.blist.com/#/blist/travicane/My-Condo-Balcony-Gardens
In the latter Blist the column "Pos#" Pick list now contains the values from the "Platform" Pick list of the former.

A comment on the problem "Getting an error message when trying to edit a Socrata dataset" in Socrata:
As of today I can now successfully click into edit mode on all of my Blists in Socrata.
So, for me at least, the problem seems to be resolved.
Thanks if this is a result of your work.

Garth Olson reported a problem in Socrata on June 02, 2009 19:58:
Rich text columns not displaying properly in SocrataI have a Blist that loses most of it's formatting (and possibly structure) when rendered in Socrata. It is publicly viewable.
Here is the URL for this Blist under the old application (you need to click on the "Keep Using Old___" after the redirect, and then have patience -- it takes a while to load):
http://app.blist.com/#/blist/travicane/My-Condo-Balcony-Gardens
Here is the URL for the same Blist (now Data Set) in Socrata:
http://www.socrata.com/fun/My-Condo-B...
I am at somewhat of an impasse since another problem (see Topic "Getting a network connection error message___") prevents me form accessing the Edit function in Socrata.

A comment on the problem "Getting an error message when trying to edit a Socrata dataset" in Socrata:
I am having the same error message problem. The message occurs any time I click on the "Edit This Data Set" item in the toolbar. I am taken away from the data set, and the error message repeats again a while after clicking the close butto. I only have three Blists and this error occurs for all of them.
