Hey Josh, Valleywag is now a part of Gawker, so all valleywag.com URL's redirect to gawker.com. You're getting redirected to the mobile site because any attempts to call gawker.com on a mobile device will take you to m.gawker.com. So now the chain is this: valleywag.com > gawker.com > m.gawker.com actually loads on your device. Apologies for the confusion, realize it's not quite what you hope for when loading valleywag.com. Thanks.

Thanks, definitely a bug. These occasionally slip through from an advertiser without our knowledge. We'll dig in and attempt to root it out.

Hey there, this is a known issue that is caused by Firebug. Try suspending Firebug on gizmodo.com and any other sites this happens on. Then the ad won't takeover the screen like that. Cheers!
