Blackberry Curve location updating problemsWhen I select "report my location" it takes me to "results > search" and returns what I presume to be the default set of results for a location in Cali.
(Also, does the J2ME version use GPS/triangulation to estimate my location? Or is that iPhone only?)
GeauxTigers shared an idea in Whrrl on January 20, 2009 15:40:
Add Fire Eagle integration.I'd like to see the ability to not only push my location from Whrrl to Fire Eagle, but also to be able to receive updates from Fire Eagle into Whrrl.

Create API accessCreate an API framework, so that authorized third parties can tap into my location and data.
A comment on the question "Don't disable web accounts" in Loopt:
So today, (in a major city with better coverage) I opened Loopt on my Blackberry, updated my location, and pinged a friend. 5 hours later, I try to log on to the web site, and it says my account has been disabled because I haven't logged in recently on my cell phone. 5 hours according to Loopt, when I opened it on my cell phone to enable my account. This is absurd (and hopefully a fluke). – GeauxTigers, on December 31, 2008 03:41

This should be re-thought out. I'm often in areas, for days at a time, where cell coverage is spotty, at best. (I can generally send/receive emails from my Blackberry, but any extensive data transfer fails.)
There needs to be a better balance on this issue...
And what is the rationale behind limiting web access? If your phone doesn't have coverage, you shouldn't be able to use the service?
