Here is a crash report.

I have now installed the 'debug build' and the app has not crashed yet but the CPU% is constantly 140 -160% and my fans are really loud not workable, slowing my mac down, etc.

A comment on the problem "Crashes on opening" in Bohemian Coding:

when I scroll up and down(grid and list view) I get the problem. CPU percentage is always over 100-150% while I scroll then eventually it crashes.

If I dont scroll and use other apps while FC is sitting idle at 3% the app still eventually crashes.

Activity monitor does not give me a specific error.

This app is still crashing on me constantly. Everytime I think its stopped another crash comes along. I have not used the app for months been waiting for an update to come along. It still crashes everytime I use the app.

I have already tried reinstalling the vault (x3) for a previous issue and I just wont do it again. I have spent too long tagging items, deleting unwanted fonts, etc.

When I view the app in Activity monitor it sits at a low 0 -5% CPU value then suddenly 40 -90% and mac starts lagging. I have even seen 110% and 150% didnt think it was possible. Lasts a few secs then randomly calms down or crashes (eventually it crashes). This is while the app is just sitting idle and I have not tried to use it yet.

I remember a few people had this issue in another topic but i cannot find it. Is there still an issue you know about and are trying to fix or is this just me? I remember others saying last update fixed their issue but maybe like me they spoke to soon.

Still crashing :(

How I created the problem:
I had 10.5.8 then upgraded to SL(a clean install). I copied the App Support files over from my TM backup and no other files. Re-installed the app then the problems started.

Also I think the crashes happen while the app is opening when in Grid View. Im unsure if it crashes at all in List View.

EDIT: I could be wrong. FC is crashing alot less with the previous update.
EDIT2: Actually it seems to have stopped crashing. This build did crash first time I tried but seems to be working now. *Fingers crossed*

My problem began when I Installed SL. I have 10.6.1
FC crashes while the app is opening before I try to do anything.

Also got error "Fontcase was unable to deliver the crahslog." (spelling error correct).

p.s. I tried new betas

I have Snow Leopard and Fontcase crashes everytime I start it up. It crashes immediately (while generating previews). I will not reinstall fonts again, I already did that recently but I have tried reinstalling app, changing settings, etc.

I will gladly give you any error log messages if you need them. Let me know which logs and I will email them to wherever.

I think I may know what is causing this. It could be caused by FC crashing while you are deleting fonts.

I tried to delete 2 fonts and FC crashed on me. When FC relaunched the 2 fonts I tried to delete were now flashing 'generating preview'. I quit restarted and still 'generating preview'. I checked my .vault and the fonts were not actually there.

Also, I recently did a major clearout of unwanted fonts and alot of them seem to have returned after one of the updates.

Latest update does not fix this for me. :(

It has fixed a problem I was having with Quicklook style previews though. :)

I am having an issue with Previews too. When I view a font and press space all is well but if I then press the arrow keys to view other fonts the preview pane is completely blank. If I press space again I can see the correct font getting smaller.

I have not used ExpanDrive for any proper work because of this (+due to the CSSEdit bug).

Will this feature be in Expandrive 2.0? and will the feature be on its way "any day now".
