Sure thing. In order to update your FB status with your twitter updayes, you'de have to have the twitter app installed right? So go to your apps and click on twitter, at the top of that page there should be an option to turn off twitter updating your status updates.

you can't upload pics other than your profile and background image. If you wish to tweet pics though, you can use something like twitpic (http://twitpic.com/) EXAMPLE: http://twitter.com/geoffsays/status/1...

you'll need a plugin, but you'll need to get one specific to your site ie is it built on wordpress etc. google it :)

Make your account private. That way only people you accept will see your twitter stream. Go to your Twitter page and click "settings" (top right) then under the "account" tab click "protect my updates" at the bottom. Done :)

Hi Sheryl,

There's currently no way to merge 2 accounts and no way to move connections from one account to another. Best thing would be to just follow people you have on the account you won't be using through the account you will be using.

Not sure if you've done this or not, but go to your profile page and click "settings", then click "notices" and make sure you've checked "Email when I receive a new direct message". if that's already been done, submit a support ticket here: http://help.twitter.com

If your updates are protected, people will not be able to follow you unless you approve them (usually sent to your email as a notification that someone has requested to follow your updates). Your tweets will also not be included in search :)

For pictures, they're probably using twitpic (http://twitpic.com). When you send pics from your phone to twitpic, it'll automatically generate a tweet with the link to the picture. To post regular links, just type them out. ex: http://twitter.com/geoffsays (my twitter page). Always use http:// in front of the address instead of www.

hmm, you could always give your authors the log in details to the same account, but all tweets, no matter who wrote them, would be under the same user name.

jeez, shouldn't answer these so late. DM's won't show in your main twitter feed. you can find them in your "direct messages" tab on twitter.com. You can set up how your notified of DM's by going to "settings" then "notices". Might also fix your @replies problem there as well by changing the settings.
