... unless your Word document has any kind of formatting. The wiki editor is fraught with problems. When you copy and paste from a Word document, PBwiki doesn't render the content properly and it looks horrible. Sometimes you cannot edit the content to look any better either. So much for WYSIWYG. Why not have an editor similar to the one on Wikipedia? It's much easier to use and gives true results.

George replied on August 15, 2008 02:26 to the question "Table of Contents - numbering" in PBwiki:
I understand that, but I don't know why the TOC would do that automatically. Surely one would assume that any document that requires a TOC would already have a numbering system in place. If you create a TOC in MSWord, it uses the numbering of your document (linked to the heading formatting, which pbWiki also doesn't do--the heading formatting doesn't include auto numbering, so you end up with a document without numbers).
This document I'm converting to a wiki has 100 pages. Surely removing the numbering from the text section turns into one confusing mess, besides the fact that it creates an enormous amount of work--all because the wiki has limited functionality.
George asked a question in PBwiki on August 14, 2008 09:22:
Table of Contents - numberingThe table of contents plug-in is auto-numbering the headings. Why would it do that? I already have numbering in the document, now it's really confusing, and looks pretty stupid. How can I remove the auto-numbering?
