One-click share with SC users

It would be great if there was an option under 'share' to share it with fellow soundclouders. Think of this idea like a "retweet". So if I hear a track that I think my friend on soundcloud would like, I can:

1. click 'share'
2. click 'with soundcloud user'
3. the same tabbed list shows up that we have for privacy controls
4. I choose who I want to share it with
5. I have the ability to add a personal message
6. The track shows up on the users dashboard with a special indication

This beats the current process of:

1) clicking on the track
2) copying the track link
3) going to my friend list
4) finding the user
5) clicking on their 'send message'
6) copy/pasting the link

While both have the same amount of steps. the new way would be much more efficient and facilitate community participating and sharing as well as providing a new way to find artists and music that you dig on SC.

Yay or nay?

Hi Ivan,

The listener does not need an account to hear a public track whether it is through the soundcloud profile or through a widget on another site.

The only reason they would have to create an account would be to hear private tracks or follow your updates.

Private tracks can be shared with non SC users with the secret link feature (available under track settings). You can give them the link to the track and they can access it without having an account.

I would be interested in having an option to make notes about specific tracks or users that were only visible to me.

Would anyone else find it useful to be able to mark a track or a user using a 3rd way other than 'heard' or 'unheard'?

Currently, when a track is new to you, there is a little orange dot by the track name indicating that the track is unheard.

It goes away when you listen to the track but there is no way to get it to return. Being able to return the orange dot would allow the user to have a function similar to the 'mark as unread' option in email.

Additionally, if this symbol was able to be toggled via one-click next to a track, I could see many uses for a 3rd symbol.

In simpler terms:

Is it useful to anyone but me to be able to choose between three icons indicating the "heard/unheard" status of a track or user?

1) an orange dot
2) no dot
3) an orange dot with a line through it

I don't know as I don't have my finger on the tech pulse of SC. But if the other users with this problem also uploaded multiple files, then it might give the SC guys a better idea of what's happening when they read this thread.
