Any plans on abandoning your own alert updates and using other mechanisms (is it AIR dependent?)

Mac OSX has growl and Windows and Linux have other similar (almost) compatible systems.

(verified on OSX 10.5.7 2.4GHz, Windows XP SP3 1.8 GHz and Ubuntu 9.04 1.8 GHz)

It seems every time it pools the sources, it just takes all the cpu it can take.
Very annoying.

All other (AIR) programs I tried, with the same sources registered, to note exhibit this behaviour.

On the mac OSX after a few hours it stops appearing when I click it on the Dock, although alerts still show. Could be unrelated.
