Geri Sancho replied on November 20, 2009 12:28 to the problem "Profiles knakkered" in BT Tradespace:
Hi Ce' The Jeweller,
We have found that we have an issue with profiles with a special character in their business name or display name. If you remove the special character (in this instance " ' "), this should solve the problem and you should be able to start updating your Tradespace site.
It is linked to the way we build URLs for BT Tradespace sites and is a bug that we will fix in the coming month. At that point, you will be able to add back the " ' " in your business name.
I hope this helps,
Geri Sancho replied on November 20, 2009 12:11 to the question "search for Kirton Antiques on bttradespace "did we mean carton" certainly not!" in BT Tradespace:
Hello Kirton Antiques,
If you go to www.bttradespace.com amd make a search for "kirton", you will find a search result. Kirton Antiques is the first one listed.
When you click on "view Business" you will land on your Tradespace site.
As we just launched, it takes a little while for all the sites and links to be indexed so please bear with us while we're looking into this.
You will need to reset your password before you can login on the new site for security reasons.
Let me know if you have problems with this.
Thanks

Geri Sancho replied on November 19, 2009 15:20 to the problem "How do I change a heading - it's the big one at the top" in BT Tradespace:
Hello,
You will need to login and go to your Dashboard by clicking the "My Tradespace" link on the top menu bar.
Then, you can select the profile you'd like to update in the scroll down menu at the top of your dashboard and select "Go".
If you happen to have only one profile, click directly on "Change my profile settings" button next to the scroll down menu and you will be taken to the right place to update your logo, your background colour, as well as your top header background image.
I hope this helps,
Thanks,
Geri Sancho replied on November 19, 2009 10:47 to the problem "Most of Gallery Gone" in BT Tradespace:
Hi Broadcast Services,
Can I please ask you to confirm this is your Tradespace site url?
http://broadcast-services.bttradespac...
All of the content items you listed on the old site under services, have been transferred into your "our services" area = 13 of them.
All of the content items you listed under products on the old site, have been transferred into your "our gallery" area = currently a total of 28.
You should also find those 28 products in your shop the day you decide to activate your PayPal certificate.
Can you please let me know how many content items you're missing exactly from each area (services and galleries) so I can look into your query a bit further?
Thanks,

Geri Sancho replied on November 19, 2009 09:44 to the question "Google Analytics I.D code..wherefore art thou..." in BT Tradespace:
Hi,
Your google analytics ID code should look like this: UA-11522406-1
You will find this code by logging in into your Google Analytics account and click on "analytic settings" on the top menu bar left hand side.
If you do not have a Google Analytic account yet, you can create one by going to: http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_...
It is free and will provide you with some statistics for your Tradespace site as well as your website.
Thanks,

Hi Action Graphics,
Sorry to hear you have been having problems with adding your Google Analytic ID.
I have just created an account on mine and added the ID to my Tradespace account and it worked fine. I did not get an error message after entering my code similar to this: UA-11247406-2
Would you mind sending a screengrab at the following address so we can help you further and try and sort out your issue please?

Geri Sancho replied on November 11, 2009 21:27 to the question "What about my Videos on You tube?" in BT Tradespace:
Hi Sarah,
Thanks for your nice feedback!
Do you happen to have the files for the videos you uploaded onto Youtube on your computer ?
All you have to do is go into "Our Galleries" or "Our Shop" in your "Manage my Tradespace" tab from your dashboard. Then you can add content and upload a video file instead of an image. You would not be able to add a link to Youtube anymore.
If you wanted to link to a video you posted on Youtube though, you could certainly do so using News and Posts.
Let me know if that helps
Thanks,
Geri Sancho replied on November 11, 2009 18:06 to the question "How do I get my Tradespace seen by potential customers?" in BT Tradespace:
Hi Late Deals Online.Com,
The new BT Tradespace is essentially driven by search.
So keywords have taken over the categories and will now help you get found. To help you be found, you'll have the opportunity to use keywords for every item you add to your Tradespace, thus helping you rank better not just on BT Tradespace but on any search engines too.
When using they keyword feature make sure to use specific keywords to your products, services, business/industry. If you’re uploading something seasonal, then using the season names within your keywords also helps – for example, adding 'Christmas' to your keywords will help you be found for searches on Christmas.
You can also find out more on how to monitor/keep track of the visits to your site by going to the link below:

I hope this helps!

Geri Sancho replied on November 09, 2009 14:01 to the problem "OMG !" in BT Tradespace:
Hello,
The new BT Tradespace has just been launched overnight and it will take a bit of time for the content to be refreshed and updated over the Internet.
You will have intermittent access and we hope to have it all complete in the next couple of days. In the meantime, please bear with us, we will be sending an email to let you know we’ve launched.
Regarding the move over to the new site, we've sent a few service emails regarding the changes to our customers. I am sorry if you have not seen these.
Could you please confirm your email address to me so I can check whether you are on our unsubscribe listing?
Thanks,

Geri Sancho replied on November 09, 2009 10:12 to the problem "Why is my community profile image not showing?" in BT Tradespace:
While we were successful at moving all your Tradespace pictures across to the new site, despite our best efforts, we were unable to move your community profile images across.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience, but we want to reassure you - it’s simple to re-upload your profile image. Simply click on the ‘My Tradespace’ link at the top of your screen to log in to your account and go to your dashboard. Once in your dashboard, click on ‘My communities’ or ‘Communities’ (if you have a Tradespace). You will be able to manage your communities and update your profile image from here.

Geri Sancho replied on November 09, 2009 10:01 to the question "What are your views on the speed of the new BT Tradespace?" in BT Tradespace:
Hello Sarah,
The reason it is timing out and sometimes slow is due to the fact that it takes a bit of time for every location on the Internet to refresh with the new content.
We want all our members to get the benefit of the new site together, so we ask you to please bear with us while the update is completed.... We’ll be sending you an email to let you know when we’ve launched, so please come back then and try again!
I hope this helps!
Thanks

Geri Sancho replied on November 08, 2009 21:22 to the problem "I have lost the ratings and reviews I had on my site before the new launch" in BT Tradespace:
The new BT Tradespace is built to help your online reputation. We've lost the five star rating and old reviews in favour of 'Testimonials'.
Plus customers can now become fans of your business. So don't forget to invite and get your happy customers to leave you a testimonial and start growing your network.
You customers can become a fan of your business by visiting your Tradespace and clicking on the ‘Become a fan’ button at the top right hand corner. They can also leave testimonials through the ‘Testimonials’ module in the right hand column of your Tradespace.
