Yep I can't sign up either, I tried creating 3 different accounts and all failed with the same error. The worst things is that it actually registered the account as the next time I tried signing up with that username it said it was taken, however at the same time trying to log in as the user doesn't work.

Thankyou!!! It would be even more perfect if I could do this sort of stuff from the http://wakoopa.com/<username>/usage page.
Other than hidden and blocked, I'd also to just as easily separate the stuff I actually use from the stuff I've only ever installed just to try and then never used again.</username>

Thanks for coming back here Menno. I agree about the personal tags and had though of that myself too. However this brings up a problem that I've raised before, it's very easy to pollute the global software tags by doing this. Some tags are personal and should remain that way, this is one of those examples, however if you added it to even the Firefox page it would show up in the global list of tags.
Pretty much along the same lines as this request, I would love to be able to easily mark software that I actually use. There is plenty of stuff that shows up in my list simply because I tested it out one time, and then I have to go through this entire list every time instead of just the list of software that I use. I would be great if you not only added markers for "App to use", I would like similar markers for "App I use" and "App I don't use" or something along those lines. If it was configurable (essential private tagging) this would be the best way, but the problem is it also needs to be presented in an easy to use fashion.... ie. a button or checkbox so that you can quickly go through your list and mark apps correctly.

Yep it sure was. Thanks for implementing it and for coming back and posting in this thread. Although, being honest.... I get much better response posting on your blog than via the feedback form or this site, which does suck as it's not really the best place to be addressing feature requests or bug reports.

I did end up getting a response via their blog and now finally, the response I'd been hoping for, with them adding the feature:

I'll be changing my profile pic back.

Nobody loves me. :`-( =P
I have made this suggest via your website too and never got a response then either.
Normally by now I would have been so pissed off by getting ignored for so long that I would have just stopped using the product, but unfortunately it's just too damn good. So I will just have to keep persisting till somebody finally decides to notice me. Hell, I'm even still promoting the damn thing to all of my tech friends.

gerry shared an idea in Wakoopa on August 06, 2008 15:15:
Search through the list of apps that I have usedI use Wakoopa to track what software I use or find while using different PCs (ie. home and work machines), so that if I go home and suddenly I have a need for an app which I found while at work a month ago, I can just look it up in wakoopa. However this has been becoming more and more difficult as time goes by as the total number keeps increasing.
In the worst cases (which comes up a lot) I have to first go to the usage page (http://wakoopa.com/gerry/usage [which isn't the easiest thing to find btw]) and then search the current page using firefox, then I have to click on the second page page in the "What I use actively" list and then do another in page search, then I have to click on the third page page in the "What I use actively" list and then do another in page search, then I have to click on the fourth page page in the "What I use actively" list and then do another in page search, then I have to click on the fifth page page in the "What I use actively" list and then do another in page search, then I have to click on the sixth page page in the "What I use actively" list and then do another in page search.
AND if I happen to have gotten the name wrong or to have spelt the name of the software incorrectly I have to do this again for all 6 pages (well it's currently at 6 pages anyway). Which means I'm going through 12 pages looking for something that I should have easily able to find by checking a box next to the search field which would limit it to software that I have used.
Otherwise, LOVE your app and am a big fan and have gotten others to use it.

Well you wouldn't calculate it on the fly, you would maybe run a cron job and cache the result. Although I'm not sure I'd find this useful. Perhaps the most "valiant" person would know the best software in each category, but maybe not.
