Hi Norman, I'm sorry you're having issues with TypeLists in the new TypePad. Do you know if you're using the right TypeList type? I just tried searching for an album (Pearl Jam) and for a book (Wikinomics) and in both instances the search was successful and returned names and album/book covers. Of course, this behavior only works when the TypeList is set to Albums or Books. If you choose Links or Notes, then this won't work.
Let us know if this helps.

Hi Garland,
if you only want to show a snippet of your post on the main page, use the "split extended entry" feature. Click http://help.sixapart.com/tp/us/split_... to learn more.
Note that the split entry works best if used between normal paragraphs. If you use the split in the middle of a bullet list or a blockquote, then your design may look a little odd. Let us know if this helps!
A comment on the question "Why are some of my posts double-spaced and not others?" in Six Apart:
We're currently looking into this and the engineers are asking me the following:
1) which browser type/version and operating system are you on?
2) are you copying any text from other programs?
thanks for your patience while we look into this. – Geysa, on August 27, 2009 23:32

A comment on the problem "Typepad does not share all my posts with Facebook" in Six Apart:
Thanks for the explanation. It seems there's a delay between the moment TypePad shares the post and when Facebook processes and displays it. I'll ask our engineering team to get in touch with the Facebook engineering team and investigate why these posts are being delayed/dropped.
On another note: we implemented a new feature where we can show stats of how many people clicked on the post that is shared to Facebook/Twitter/FriendFeed. However, this is currently available to Beta users. I'd be happy to add you to the Beta group so you can check it out and let us know how you like it. Would you like to try it? – Geysa, on August 26, 2009 22:33

Hi Albert, I'm so sorry you're experiencing issues sharing your posts to Facebook. I checked your account and you are indeed set up properly, so this shouldn't be happening. Let's see if we can find a solution for it together.
Can you walk me through the steps you normally take when you compose and share your posts? TypePad does turn sharing "off" when posts are in draft status, but when you change the status to publish now or in the future, the setting should turn "on" for you. Is that not happening for your account?
Also note that TypePad turns sharing "off" when a post that has been published gets edited and re-published. This is done to avoid spamming your readers when you edit a post to fix a typo or something similar.
Please let me know more information and I'll try to resolve this issue.
A comment on the question "Can I create draft posts offline in the new Typepad (not using a Widget) and publish later when I have an internet connection?" in Six Apart:
Posting by email will not carry over all of your font formatting choices, but it does support the addition of photos. Thunderbird is definitely an appropriate email client. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you. If posting by email doesn't meet your needs, we can try and find another solution for you. – Geysa, on August 26, 2009 17:33

Hi Elizabeth, TypePad currently doesn't offer an offline mode. However, there are a couple of ways you can write offline without having to use the widgets that didn't work for you in the past.
1) If you use an email client that supports offline mode, you can compose your posts on email and then submit them when you're online. If you're on the all new TypePad, you can find the email address to send your posts on your blog dashboard (it'll be on the right column, under "Other Ways to Post".) Click here to learn more about posting by email.
2) Another way to compose offline is to use a tool such as Windows Live Writer.

On the top right corner you'll find a link to "Help". When you click on it, you'll land on the Help page, which has a link to open a ticket. – Geysa, on August 26, 2009 17:04

Geysa replied on August 25, 2009 19:42 to the question "Wanting to link my bit.ly account to the Twitter sharing in TypePad" in Six Apart:
Hi Andrew, are you part of our Beta program? We just launched a new integration with Bit.ly, where we generate a Bit.ly link for any post that is share to Twitter/Facebook/FriendFeed and then show the Bit.ly stats for the post on your dashboard.
If you're not part of the Beta program, please let me know your blog URL and I'll gladly give you access to it. I would love to hear your thoughts on this new feature!

Interesting... How did you get Blogger to keep your credentials? I'm forced to enter my OpenID everytime I want to comment.... Have you tried deleting this or hitting Edit and trying to set it up again? – Geysa, on August 18, 2009 19:05

Hi d0natr0oy, in order for your TypePad username to be allowed as OpenID to blogger, you must be logged in to TypePad under the same username. Otherwise we can't verify your credentials. Could you check if you're logged in to TypePad under the same account you're trying to use as OpenID? – Geysa, on August 18, 2009 16:32
