Factors are the major dimensions along which the majority of the personality-descriptive terms can be expressed. The "Big-Five" factor structure has become a scientifically useful taxonomy to understand individual differences in personality traits. The factors include several traits that are related. In the results that we present in the site, we show you the factors and your particular traits that are included in those factors.

"The first is Extraversion versus Introversion, which includes traits such as Active, Assertive, Energetic, Gregarious, and Talkative versus their opposites. A second factor is called Agreeableness, which includes traits such as Amiable, Helpful, Kind, Sympathetic, and Trusting versus their opposites. A third factor has been labeled Conscientiousness, which includes such traits as Dependable, Hard-working, Responsible, Systematic, and Well-organized versus their opposites. A fourth factor contrasts traits related to Emotional Stability, such as Calm, Relaxed, and Stable, with opposite traits such as Afraid, Nervous, Moody, and Temperamental. We have not yet fully implemented the friending feature on our site. For the moment, you see your connections only if you *and* your friend have linked your facebook accounts.

We will have the friending feature in our next release. Thanks for your patience.

You should be able to get the code to embed the badge into Myspace and blogs by going to your "Personality Patterns" or "Music Patterns" page and copying the code from that last box that is titled "Show Your Patterns".

Watch out for our new badge though -- it is going to be much cooler than the current one. So, once that is out please update your Myspace profiles.

Currently, we are limiting the amount of information you can import from external sites to 1000 characters. Perhaps the music profile information you have in Facebook is longer than that. You could try one of two things -- (1) Do not import your music information from Facebook or (2) Delete some information from the imported information till it is less than the 1000 character limit that we currently allow.

We are aware of this issue. When a user clicks on a Facebook ad and comes to one of our survey introduction pages and from there decides to sign up via Facebook, we are currently not successfully registering these users. We will fix this soon. Currently, we are permitting only anonymous survey taking followed by registration to see results.

In the meanwhile, if you clear any signalpatterns cookies you have in your browser and then send us an email to feedback <at> signalpatterns.com. We'll then send you a personalized link which should allow you to sign up first and then take all the surveys we have on our site.
