girlsgottahave replied on July 31, 2009 16:02 to the question "Tradespace not found" in BT Tradespace:
Hi Noreen
My name is Emma and I work in the Customer Support & Services Department.
Tradespace is currently experiencing a location search issue for newly created sites. This is a known issue and we would like to assure you that our development team will be deploying a fix in the very near future.
Please note, that any updates that you make to your site may take up to 48 hours before the data is indexed by the Tradespace search engines. Tradespace search engines use site content to index the sites.
The information about our content surfacing rules can be found at: http://faq.bttradespace.com/how-do-i-...
It is best to search by using the first search box only leaving the “in Location” second search box empty. Please note that you need to have the words that a potential customer would use in their search tools, i.e. among the Logo name, the tag line, on the first line of the about us section and the contents too including products and services names that your business provides.
Therefore we would advise that you incorporate any key search words into your "About us" and “blog" sections- where they would fit naturally. This will help to ensure that your site is indexed correctly and more easily found within Tradespace.
A weekly blog is also a great way of ensuring that your site remains active and more importance will be placed on it by the Tradespace search engines.
You can aim to be surfaced more prominently in other areas by encouraging your customers to write reviews, rate your products and services and continue to add fresh content to your Tradespace site
Please also understand that any updates that you make to your site may take up to 48 hours before the data is indexed by the Tradespace search engines.
To modify the about us section including keywords, TAG line and company description:
Generally speaking for best search results is to mention your business name and any other words that are popular among your business trading culture in the " Describe Your Business section" mainly:
A) In the About Us text box, where the words are mainly used by the internal search engines i.e. when people searching from with the BT Tradespace communities and other sites.
B) And in the Keywords text box, where the words are mainly used by the external search engines such Google, Yahoo and the likes.
• Login to your site and click on “Manage your Tradespace” located below your Logo.
• Once in please click on the blue “Home” link
• Select the “Describe your Business” link and edit in more detail
• Save changes and exit,

Hi my name is Emma and I work in the BT Tradespace Customer Service & Support Department.
I was very disappointed to learn how dissatisfied you are with BT Tradespace. There are currently over 370,000 users on the site and we do receive a considerable amount of praise from people who are directly benefiting from membership.
I would like to offer you the services of one of our BT Tradespace Experts who will dedicate time to you individually, explaining the benefits of the site and also assist you in setting up and populating your site.
If you wish for me to arrange this please contact me on support@bttradespace.com.
Equally, if you still wish for us to delete your site please email me on the same address providing details of the site URL and your registered email address and I will action the request for you.
I sincerely hope you chose to remain with us and allow us the opportunity to illustrate to you what a great site Tradespace is.
Kindest regards
Emma

Tthere is no "hidden catch" with Tradespace. and as a default all customers get registered on the free version, there are some customer who and according to the size of their business, wish to opt in for a premium version of the service where they themselves will upgrade to should they need the extra features needed, otherwise all customer get the free version of the service.
transactions fees are 55 with the basic package and 35 with the premium version
