"no exceptions to the rule" - is this a dictatorship?
the thing that hacks me off the most is that my Blackberry FB app doesn't work now since it is associated with my mail@ account

Georgia replied on May 27, 2009 16:10 to the question "Safari Freezes!" in PhoneFromHere.com:
This seems to be a problem on some Macs, where the 'Trust' dialogue window triggers a race condition that freezes Safari. The coloured wheel keeps spinning, but Safari is not responsive. We've reported this problem to Apple.
The following steps provide a workaround:
Quit Safari (you might have to do a 'Force Quit') and launch Safari again. Close all tabs or pages and browse to the following page:
http://api.phonefromhere.com/gateway/...
This will bring up the 'Trust' dialogue window again. This page should not freeze up your browser. If it does, it's likely that you have another page open as well. Quit Safari and try the workaround again, but this time without any page open, except for the one mentioned above.
In the 'Trust' dialogue, click on the 'Show Certificate' button.
Now a tick box will become visible with wording similar to:
"Always trust PhoneFromHere.com ..."
Tick this tick box, then click on the 'Trust' button and the dialogue will disappear.
Now browse to our original softphone page again, the one that caused problems in the first place. This time no 'Trust' dialogue will appear and the browser will no longer freeze up!-

Georgia replied on March 03, 2009 14:22 to the question "When I press the 'Talk to us Now!' button the window says 'unable to load'. What has gone wrong?" in PhoneFromHere.com:
PhoneFromHere.com will try to load for 20 seconds, if the applet fails to load the 'unable to load' message will display.
The most common cause is that you don't have Java installed. Java is free and easy to install, visit www.java.com.
Once Java is installed and enabled in the browser PhoneFromHere.com will load in a few seconds and the window will show 'Ringing' or 'Answered' accompanied by a 'Hangup' button.
In some cases if you are behind a strict firewall you may find that the applet is not aloud to load or make the call.
Georgia replied on March 03, 2009 12:26 to the question "When I press the 'Talk to us NOW!' button the applet says 'loading' and the image keeps spinning, but nothing else happens. What has gone wrong?" in PhoneFromHere.com:
1.
The first time you use PhoneFromHere.com you will need to accept the certificate, click 'trust', 'ok' or 'run' in the alert window that pops open. If you don't do this then the window will continue to say loading and the icon will continue to spin.
Now the window will show 'Ringing' or 'Answered' accompanied by a 'Hangup' button.
2.
If Javascript is disabled the window will continue to say loading and the icon will continue to spin. Javascript is normally enabled in the browser by default, but here is a link which shows how to turn it on in the various browsers.

Now the window will show 'Ringing' or 'Answered' accompanied by a 'Hangup' button.

I have watched programmes such as desperate housewives and brothers and sisters on 4OD on my PC, I am not sure if this is the CatchUp service.
The service I used didn't appear run in a browser, but it would be good if it did, so that way it might work, a bit like BBC iPlayer and run via a web browser in Linux?
When you say watch more 'video' what do you mean? Programmes and Flims from Channel4 stations? - sorry if I am being a bit stoopid
